Top dmen still on the board:

Connor Timmons

NIc Hague

Henri Jokiharju

Josh Brook

David Farrance

Eemeli Rasanen

Jokiharju for the win!

Totally homering, but would love to see Farrance get to wear b&g again. (Yeah, he probably won't make the show, but if he were to, it would be great if he did it as a Sabre.)

Top 3 picks for the 2nd round

1) Josh Brook dman Moose Jaw - mobile puck moving dman.

2) Jason Robertson LW Kingston - great puck possession skills and can shoot. Needs to improve skating. Scored 24% of Kingstons goals.

3) Connor Timmons -D SSM - 54 assists and plus 53 +\- smart, moves puck well and can defend.

Brook over Hague? The best I've seen Brook rated was 45. Mostly he was in the 50s.

How about we stay in Minnesota high schools? Dylan Samberg. 6'3 200 pound d-men, can skate very well, and was on the team that won the State title (sorry Casey). He has the size, skating, puck moving ability and physicality that really makes him a well rounded prospect with legit potential. He is going to Minnesota Duluth next season who have a excellent program. They say his biggest flaw is his hockey IQ. Im guessing that can be taught.

Hes the highest ranked d-men available according to HockeyProspect.com people.

Hockey IQ can be an issue... depends on who intelligent the kid is...  does he see the rink and just have trouble figuring out what to do or is it he can't see the rink... slow eyes...

If the game is to quick for him at the high school level and he relies on his physical attributes, then all that gets washed out at the next level when everyone is physically equal.

To me speed of the game and hockey IQ are interwoven.

Don't need to be the fastest player on the ice when you know 2 seconds before your opponent where the puck is going to be.
