MattPie Posted November 16, 2017 Report Posted November 16, 2017 (and Dallas ;) ) I see what y'all done did there. Quote
Brawndo Posted November 16, 2017 Report Posted November 16, 2017 Meh. Texas could never support an NHL team. Well it's been proven time and time again anyone living in the State of Texas doesn't know anything about hockey. ;) Quote
Huckleberry Posted November 17, 2017 Report Posted November 17, 2017 NHL considering a team in Houston? https://theathletic.com/156862/2017/11/15/sources-nhl-rockets-owner-meet-talk-nhls-viability-houston/ Also carolina sale isn't happening, that club is prime for QC Quote
Weave Posted November 17, 2017 Report Posted November 17, 2017 Radko Gudas slashes a guy in the head today. Big, two handed swing. Got a 10 and a game. We'll see how serious the NHL is now. Quote

Sabel79 Posted November 17, 2017 Report Posted November 17, 2017 Gudas is absoloute human garbage. That was made evident, repeatedly, well before this. He needs to be made to disappear. Quote

French Collection Posted November 17, 2017 Report Posted November 17, 2017 Gudas is absoloute human garbage. That was made evident, repeatedly, well before this. He needs to be made to disappear. Chop was on Perreault, half his size and a Lady Byng type. Quote
darksabre Posted November 17, 2017 Report Posted November 17, 2017 How many times have we called for Gudas to be banned from the league? When does this garbage stop? Quote
Doohicksie Posted November 17, 2017 Report Posted November 17, 2017 Well it's been proven time and time again anyone living in the State of Texas doesn't know anything about hockey. ;) :flirt: Absolutely correct. You may have noticed by now that I've been faking everything. Quote
Eleven Posted November 17, 2017 Report Posted November 17, 2017 Link to video https://twitter.com/2murphy8/status/931334671002230784 That is brutal. If the league is serious about anything, 20 games minimum. Quote
Stoner Posted November 17, 2017 Report Posted November 17, 2017 How many times have we called for Gudas to be banned from the league? When does this garbage stop? Certainly not this time. This looks like a classic situation where the league can find some obscure reason the players' stick ended up where it did, and they might even somehow blame Perreault for dropping his head, or something. Get ready. :flirt: Absolutely correct. You may have noticed by now that I've been faking everything. The couple of dustups we've had, are you saying the heaving chest and cigarette-smoking was fake? WildCard Posted November 17, 2017 Report Posted November 17, 2017 That is brutal. If the league is serious about anything, 20 games minimum. It should be the entire year. He could have killed him Quote
darksabre Posted November 17, 2017 Report Posted November 17, 2017 It should be the entire year. He could have killed him I'm inclined to agree. He could have paralyzed him or killed him. Quote

Randall Flagg Posted November 17, 2017 Report Posted November 17, 2017 I really like that they're calling slashing like they are, even if it looks bad when they ignore blatant interference or a check from behind 30 seconds before. It's nice watching players be able to stickhandle and make hockey plays rather than having pucks knocked away by getting their wrists hacked. Anyone who wants to see the Nic Deslauriers of the world freely illegally neutralize the McDavids of the world is nuts. Oh, speaking of Deslauriers, he got his first NHL game action recently and fought to fire up his team. In that game, his team gave Arizona their first regulation win, in game 21. I don't miss Nic Deslauriers one bit  Quote

Beyond that, I thought we firmly established there are no Deslauriers of the world. He's in a class all by himself. :) Quote

Randall Flagg Posted November 17, 2017 Report Posted November 17, 2017 In a "which players on your team do you hate" thread on hfboards, the first post from a Wild fan included Tyler Ennis, so I don't think we're missing much there. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted November 17, 2017 Report Posted November 17, 2017 Another hfboards observation:At this point last season, the NHL had 14 players at a point per game pace or higher. This season it's 36. Quote

With this in mind, I think I need to go back and watch some footage of Gretzky, just to be reminded of just how otherworldly he was. He scored as much as he did when they didn't call hooking. It's absolutely unreal to see some of his goals where one elbow is being tugged one way and a knee is being tugged the other way. Quote
