MattPie
The Stanley Cup is at the white house. Keep a close eye on it, the guy who lives there loves shiny objects. It's not gilded, it's safe.

Stoner
Russian *&^%$ *&^%$ in it and Trump takes a swig. Just another day at 1600. The hilarious thing is that the man actually doesn't drink. He behaves like a bellicose 23 year old at 3 am, but doesn't drink.

As a bellicose 23 year old (22 actually) frequently awake at 3 am, I am frightened for our nation :P
Randall Flagg
It sucks that we had to have this opening ceremony in Vegas, but man, was it something.

darksabre
Must be nice to watch a team where the players don't need to be begged to try hard.
ubkev
It ###### sucks that we had to have this opening ceremony in Vegas, but man, was it something. Didn't catch it. I'm sure it will mean a lot when nothing gets done and the next one happens. I'll take Vegas as my western conference team to root for because it's the NHL city I've spent the most time in other than Buffalo. But their home unis are ugly. Sabel79
This Begas game has been an absolute clinic in how not to play in goal by both Arizona goalies. Sheesh. Brawndo
They are going to embarrass the Sabres in a week, aren't they?
Randall Flagg
They are going to embarrass the Sabres in a week, aren't they? Depends if Fleury's 98% save percentage at even strength is ready to come down yet.
Thorner
Habs look terrible. Just the one win (Can't remember who they beat) so far.
Ducky
Kulikov has achieved 40% of his entire production last season through 1 period of action tonight. He's been okay so far. No Bobby Orr but the guy can skate.
Claude Balls
A bunch of cast-offs playing hockey in sin city are 3-0, while many high paid "stars" are on a winless team in a hockey hotbed. Something stinks, and it ain't Cliff's Pu.
Marvelo
Looking at Vegas' early success, maybe the Sabres ought to blow things completely up and start from scratch too. They couldn't do much worse.
Doohicksie
Looking at Vegas' early success, maybe the Sabres ought to blow things completely up and start from scratch too. They couldn't do much worse. I had the same thought, but Vegas had the luxury of picking a veteran off each existing team, having first shot at free agents, etc., all activities specifically targeted to fast-track them to being a competitive team. I can't fathom how the Sabres would do the same thing, especially considering existing contracts. New #Sabres lines at practice: Girgensons-Eichel-Pominville Kane-O'Reilly-Okposo Pouliot-Larsson-Reinhart Griffith-Josefson-Nolan Scandella-Risto Beaulieu-Tennyson McCabe-Gorges Antipin & Moulson skating as a pair as well. Reinhart may not be a third line center, but he is definitely not a third line winger Flip Pommers and Reinhart and let's go  And from what I've seen, I don't think Tennyson should be playing over Antipin. nfreeman
BTW: Sabres lineup posts have been moved to "the new lineup thread". Now back to regularly scheduled programming.

Brawndo
Depends if Fleury's 98% save percentage at even strength is ready to come down yet. Against the Sabres 4% Shooting Percentage in all situations, that's probably safe ;)
