TrueBlueGED Posted October 7, 2017 Report Posted October 7, 2017 Somehow the Knights got stuck with their best center, Shipachyov, in the AHL, and he's not playing tonight. Relatedly, Fleury may be MVP in any fantasy league that awards points for saves. Quote
Brawndo Posted October 7, 2017 Report Posted October 7, 2017 AHLer Tobias Lindberg Wrong Tobias I would have taken a shot at Pickard here. Sounded like an odd move by LV dumping him for Subban, but I guess Subban has the higher ceiling, but Pickard has more NHL experience.... Effing auto correct. James Neal scores the First Regular Season Goal in Golden Knights History Quote
Randall Flagg Posted October 7, 2017 Report Posted October 7, 2017 Wow, Neal scores again to put Vegas up with 2:44 left. Quote

Taro T Posted October 7, 2017 Report Posted October 7, 2017 Meet the new Stars goaltender...same as the old Stars goaltenders? Yeesh. In fairness, Neal was laying on his stomach too when he took the shot. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted October 7, 2017 Report Posted October 7, 2017 In fairness, Neal was laying on his stomach too when he took the shot. That was a hell of an effort. Islanders got blown out 5-0 today. Let's hope they're tired and sad tomorrow. Quote
Sabel79 Posted October 7, 2017 Report Posted October 7, 2017 Watching Lehtonen try as hard as he could to stay out of the way of the shot on the second goal was quite something... Quote

Winston Posted October 7, 2017 Report Posted October 7, 2017 I went to the CBJ-Islanders game today. The islanders looked VERY flat. Weren’t fast, weren’t crisp with their passes, weren’t keeping forwards in front of them, weren’t winning 50/50 pucks along the wall. It was honestly a pretty easy shutout for Bob. Don’t know what the shot count wound up, but he didn’t work too hard even if it was respectable. I think he got third star for a shutout, if that’s any indication. I will say- NY played very physical. But against a skilled team like Cbus, they got smoked. The Panarin-Wennberg-Atkinson line skated circles around defensemen. They were buzzing all night. I hope it was a tiring and disheartening loss for them, not a wake up call! Quote

pi2000 Posted October 7, 2017 Report Posted October 7, 2017 Will Butcher 3 assists in his first game, named first star. . The real kick in the ass though is for the Avs. Not only did they lose the first overall pick (Hischier) to the Devil's, he goes and scores the first goal against them today. Quote
Winston Posted October 7, 2017 Report Posted October 7, 2017 Ovi just scored an impressive goal https://twitter.com/myregularface/status/916805415261925376 Quote
Winston Posted October 8, 2017 Report Posted October 8, 2017 Since I posted that, Ovi scored two more goals. That’s back to back hat tricks. Last game, all three came in the 3rd period. This game, all three came in the 1st. Yep, that’s 6 goals in 12 minutes of ice time. Quote

Randall Flagg Posted October 8, 2017 Report Posted October 8, 2017 If the 07-08 Caps had the team they do now around Ovie they'd have won 2 cups that 1 season. Instead they had Mike Green and 5 guys who would be the 7D anywhere else Quote
Eleven Posted October 8, 2017 Report Posted October 8, 2017 How many cups does he have? How many times has his team missed the playoffs? Quote
