JohnnyK Posted July 11, 2017 Report Posted July 11, 2017 That's quite a bargain IMO.... he's one year older thank E. Kane. Would you give Evander that same deal? Yes and as soon as possible! Quote

Sabres Fan in NS Posted July 12, 2017 Report Posted July 12, 2017 They use translators. Hopefully not the one put out by Google. It's not always your friend and only really works if you know some on the language that you are translating to / from. Quote

Eleven Posted July 12, 2017 Report Posted July 12, 2017 (edited) Not the most efficient approach mid-game where you might have a 10 second window to get your message across. True, but it works across sports. There are plenty of guys who come into the NHL not knowing much English or French, too. Or at least there used to be. Edited July 12, 2017 by Eleven Quote

Only a $5.3M AAV? Gah! I don't have an issue with Risto's deal per se, but between the Lindolm deal and now this, I think there's a reasonable argument to be made that Risto got more than he should have. Quote

I agree, but only by a few hundred thousand, so in the long run, short of death by 1000 cuts, it doesn't matter. Plus Risto had more leverage over us. We were poor defensively with him, imagine this team without him Quote

I'm not sure why Slavin took that AAV. He's already worth 6 IMO, and has only played 2 seasons. Lots of room to grow. Quote

LGR4GM Posted July 12, 2017 Report Posted July 12, 2017 Are we surprised Murray gave out too much money? No and I am starting to realize that firing Murray may have saved Buffalo because I think Murray understood the long term ramifications of contracts and the cap far less than Botterill does. Quote
