MattPie Posted January 25, 2018 Report Posted January 25, 2018 Marchand suspended for 5 games for a hit to the head on Marcus Johansson progress? It's a make-up call by the NHL to compensate for the NFL and the Pats. Quote

Eleven Posted January 25, 2018 Report Posted January 25, 2018 As I live and breathe, the NHL actually suspended Marchand for five games. I guess the Bruins really are missing Gregory Campbell. Quote

WildCard Posted January 26, 2018 Report Posted January 26, 2018 To nobody's surprise, TJ Oshie has come crashing back to earth after receiving a monster deal Last year: 33-23-56, s% = 23.1 This year: 11-18-29, s% = 14.3 Career s% = 11.8 Good job, Washington https://www.hockey-reference.com/players/o/oshietj01.html Quote
darksabre Posted January 26, 2018 Report Posted January 26, 2018 Weird that unsustainable shooting percentages would be unsustainable. Quote

After 3 full seasons it basically stabilizes. Last year Kane shot at 10.8% but his career average is 8.9%, which makes you think that years is slightly above normal. Jack shoots at 10.3% but this year is at 11.5% which again seems a touch above normal but being his 3rd year could be actually closer to his average. Okposo is at 8.6% but his average is 10.4 so we can expect him to rebound a bit. The more seasons you have, the more your sh% can be viewed as your average. Quote

LGR4GM Posted January 26, 2018 Report Posted January 26, 2018 (edited) So a system could help a little but ya doubling your percentage isn't sustainable Or tripling in this instance Edited January 26, 2018 by SkuggaLiger Quote

Sabres Fan in NS Posted January 28, 2018 Report Posted January 28, 2018 Jagr on waivers. Looks like the end (in the NHL). The Sabres should claim him. I thought he was injured and put on IR. Maybe he has to clear waivers to come off IR? Quote
darksabre Posted January 28, 2018 Report Posted January 28, 2018 I suspect that the Flames were trying to trade him but that there's a short list of places he wants to go and those places didn't want him. He's probably off to the KHL. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted January 28, 2018 Report Posted January 28, 2018 Jagr was done in that playoff series the Panthers played a couple years ago. Quote
