That's dedication right there  @SabresBuzz Do not be surprised if Housley reaches out to his close friend Alex Mogilny to discuss an assistant coaching position with Sabres. @SabresBuzz Mogilny currently working in KHL. Housley, Mogilny very close. Mogilny was a puck possession magician who can impart his wisdom on Sabres Quote

pi2000 Posted June 17, 2017 Report Posted June 17, 2017 I used to park Mogilnys' car at Oliver's. I would often spot him outside smoking. Quote

I could see Mogilny saying, "do X when challenged by a defender" and Eichel is the only player that can do that. I'm not sure you can take that highly skilled stuff and translate it to the masses. Brawndo Posted June 20, 2017 Report Posted June 20, 2017 Vogl said a source told him that they have reached out to Jack Capauno. Dreger did say he made wait to look at his options though as on last Friday Quote
Brawndo Posted June 21, 2017 Report Posted June 21, 2017 Per Friedman Andrew Allen will be kept on as goalie coach Quote
ct fab Posted June 21, 2017 Report Posted June 21, 2017 Didn't Allen have a good relationship with Cal Peterson? Maybe nothing but maybe a good sign?? Quote
Brawndo Posted June 21, 2017 Report Posted June 21, 2017 And Capuano will be joining his staff 23. Sounds like Jack Capuano will join Phil Housley’s staff in Buffalo. The Sabres kept goalie coach Andrew Allen, a good call because it sounds like he would have been snapped up quickly if free. Didn't Allen have a good relationship with Cal Peterson? Maybe nothing but maybe a good sign?? Yes, and it can't hurt Quote
Derrico Posted June 21, 2017 Report Posted June 21, 2017 Didn't Allen have a good relationship with Cal Peterson? Maybe nothing but maybe a good sign?? Wow how did u know this? Good to hear. I didn't love him as a head coach but I think he would be a nice addition as an assistant. Quote
