Housley Named Sabres Head Coach

All signs point to Phil Housley being next head coach of the Buffalo Sabres. Question is how soon it will happen.

Would have preferred Tocchet I think. Housley is a gamble, first time HC. But he seems better than some of the other candidates that had been floated (probably meaninglessly, seeing as how Tocchet was apparently the guy and never even got an interview).

I like the concept of Housley the board has built up, but I would love to hear him talk before I go all in.

Also, 27 years ago today, Housley was traded from the Sabres

well that's good news..I was worried we'd all be happy with the new GM and coach we wanted but nope...here we the first negative before Howie is even named as the new coach! I personally think GMJBotto & Howie are good additions!  What's next?
