Umm

Friedman: "It wouldn't surprise me also if Buffalo was potentially a Kevin Shattenkirk team." #Sabres

Too good to be true.

Curious where you saw / heard that, can't find it on his twitter

Can we re-pin / re-name this?

This is what my brain said, but I can't deny there was some movement south of the border.

I think that's how most wars are started

Trading Reinhart probably won't end well. The impact of Byslma's terrible dump and chase system cannot be underestimated in its impact on Reinhart.

I'll trade Reinhart if the return is an offer we can't refuse. That's it and nothing less.

Friedman on E. Kane: "I think he could be moved. Buffalo has got a lot of irons in the fire. I think they want to do some things." #Sabres

Friedman: "I wouldn't be surprised if people have also asked Buffalo about Sam Reinhart." #Sabres

Friedman was on SN 960

Yea, Reinhart for Tarasenko or something like that, sure.

Saad swap for Panarin via Friedman

There's no F'n way the Hawks trade Hjalmarsson, right.

Oh but they did

That's what people said about Saad.

What a crazy time to post this

I continue my stance that eventually trading Reinhart could be a good move, but doing it this summer would almost certainly not be.

How so?  If he falls flat on his face this year and is a bust, we'll get nothing for him next year and we'll all agree that we should have traded him now.  If he turns into a superstar, then it's obvious we wont trade him.  Waiting does the Sabres no good, unless you're SURE he will become a superstar.  No one is sure.  If he can be traded for a sure thing now, I'd take it.  Now, what player is a sure thing that we could get now?

He's not falling flat this year. He's 21, has some of the best underlying numbers on the team, and increased his production in another year of dump & chase, which is categorically the worst type of hockey system for his skill set.

He might not grow, but then his value will still be that of a 45-50 point winger.
