Mustache of God Posted June 22, 2017 Report Posted June 22, 2017 I do not understand the Florida expansion pick at all. Quote
Eleven Posted June 22, 2017 Report Posted June 22, 2017 McNabb from L.A. Such a valued piece of the team. Quote
bunomatic Posted June 22, 2017 Report Posted June 22, 2017 I could use a good strong covfefe right about now Quote
Derrico Posted June 22, 2017 Report Posted June 22, 2017 So this now makes sense why Ennis was protected. Adding the 6th wasn't all that kept Vegas from ullmark. I bet part of that deal also included carier being exposed. They were likely never taking Ennis. Quote
bunomatic Posted June 22, 2017 Report Posted June 22, 2017 Such a valued piece of the team. Well he did have his cup of covfefe in Buffalo Quote
Robviously Posted June 22, 2017 Report Posted June 22, 2017 Sure, once someone tells me why I should care about a goalie who was 24th in the AHL in SV%. Our defense in Rochester was the AHL equivalent of our NHL defense in Buffalo last year. Â He was no.1 in the league in shots faced so I'm guessing that had something to do with it. Â It's not a sexy answer but I think he just passes the eye test when we'e seen him in Buffalo. Â At worst he's a capable back-up but I'd like to see what he can do. Quote

North Buffalo Posted June 22, 2017 Report Posted June 22, 2017 TG have a beer league playoff game tonite at 10 gotta give this stuff a rest till am Quote
LikeEich Posted June 22, 2017 Report Posted June 22, 2017 I do not understand the Florida expansion pick at all. Florida says..what's it going to take for you to select Smiths contract... Vegas said throw in marchessault who we would have selected. Quote
dudacek Posted June 22, 2017 Report Posted June 22, 2017 I think this was a depth decision Carrier was one of a half-dozen prospects on the wing. Ullmark is the only prospect in the net. Quote

nucci Posted June 22, 2017 Report Posted June 22, 2017 Someone explain to me why I should care about 8 points in 41 games. I got nothing Quote
sabills Posted June 22, 2017 Report Posted June 22, 2017 Again, even if you don't love Ullmark, he's basically the only goalie prospect we have. Tough to let that go. I think this was a depth decisionCarrier was one of a half-dozen prospects on the wing.Ullmark is the only prospect in the net. Didn't see this before I posted. Bingo. Quote
LikeEich Posted June 22, 2017 Report Posted June 22, 2017 lol wait ? this happened ? Â hello our to 2/3 of our 2nd line then. It's the only thing I can see! Buyers remorse... what else could it be? Quote
nucci Posted June 22, 2017 Report Posted June 22, 2017 Carrier was not the player to expose. Â Foligno, Larrson maybe. Â Ennis sux. Protecting Ulmark at the expense of Carrier was not good evaluation. Â Sign Nilson and draft your future. Â I was not high on Bobblehead from what I was told by people in the Pens organization....great admin not a great eye for talent. Â I would have used this opportunity to try and shed a contract and that, Â at the moment doesn't seem to be the case. Â You think Carrier is better than Larrson and Foligno? I disagree. Also, you think it's easy to dump bad contracts? Quote
Eleven Posted June 22, 2017 Report Posted June 22, 2017 (edited) Who, besides me, thinks that Carrier starts the season in Chicago (AHL) or somewhere other than Nevada? You think Carrier is better than Larrson and Foligno? I disagree. Also, you think it's easy to dump bad contracts? Â He is not better than either of them, but he is certainly cheaper. Â Thus the appeal to Vegas. Â They needed some cheap contracts, too. All three of them are JAGs, but Carrier is cheap. Edited June 22, 2017 by Eleven Quote
WanderingEye Posted June 22, 2017 Report Posted June 22, 2017 I like that apparently the Canucks did not have to bribe Vegas with a trade to take Luca Sbisa. Quote

3putt Posted June 22, 2017 Report Posted June 22, 2017 You think Carrier is better than Larrson and Foligno? I disagree. Also, you think it's easy to dump bad contracts?i definitely disagree. Foligno would have been the logical choice. And if it is so hard to move contracts explain CBJ. They were able to move dead weight. Foligno is gonna want a raise he doesn't remotely, deserve and has stone hands to go with the cement between his ears. He doesn't fit up tempo anything. Quote

Even if he gets a raise, which I don't think he's in position to demand, it will be small enough where I'd be way, way more upset than losing Will freaking Carrier Quote
