Rasmus_ Posted July 1, 2017 Report Posted July 1, 2017 Nah, Kane for Kempe and picks is coming Then Bogo gets traded! Kane for Kempe, Clague and picks. Done :) Detroit literally traded Datsyuks contract, just the contract. So yes it can happen. Ennis got moved.....Anything is possible. Quote
Tondas Posted July 1, 2017 Report Posted July 1, 2017 This is the teams current LW depth: Evander Kane Matt Moulson Benoit Pouliot Justin Bailey Nicolas Deslauriers C.J. Smith Alex Nylander Even with Kane, that looks to be bottom quarter of the league. I think Kane has to stay this year. Moving a center (ROR, E-Rod, Girgs, Larsson) to play wing is not the answer. Next year without Kane and Pouliot, I guess Nylander and Bailey are 1 and 2, and we still have Moulson at 3. JBOT's got some work to do here. Quote

Tondas Posted July 1, 2017 Report Posted July 1, 2017 Pouliot is better than Moulson I think and Bailey is a RW. Sorry, I stole this list from Vogl's TBN article this morning and he listed Bailey as a LW. Still not sure Pouliot is a long term answer. Quote
tom webster Posted July 1, 2017 Report Posted July 1, 2017 Pouliot is better than Moulson I think and Bailey is a RW. Bailey has been playing LW since about half way through last year. Quote
nucci Posted July 1, 2017 Report Posted July 1, 2017 Sorry, I stole this list from Vogl's TBN article this morning and he listed Bailey as a LW. Still not sure Pouliot is a long term answer. which is why he's signed to a 1 year contract Quote
Tondas Posted July 1, 2017 Report Posted July 1, 2017 which is why he's signed to a 1 year contract Got it, and that's what I was concerned about in my initial post. Next year, if it's not Pouliot and Kane leaves, who plays LW? Quote
qwksndmonster Posted July 1, 2017 Report Posted July 1, 2017 Got it, and that's what I was concerned about in my initial post. Next year, if it's not Pouliot and Kane leaves, who plays LW?Nylander, Baptiste, Bailey, Fasching. (No idea which side these guys play on) Quote
Tondas Posted July 1, 2017 Report Posted July 1, 2017 Nylander, Baptiste, Bailey, Fasching. (No idea which side these guys play on) LW: Nylander, Bailey. Hope they develop quickly. Quote
Doohicksie Posted July 2, 2017 Report Posted July 2, 2017 I had a dream last night that we made the playoffs and Kane scored the game winner in overtime of game 1. If this comes to pass, I need someone to help me make a fortune telling infomercial. Evander or Patrick? Quote
Scottysabres Posted July 2, 2017 Report Posted July 2, 2017 LW: Nylander, Bailey. Hope they develop quickly. I thought Bailey was playing RW in Rochester? I went to a crunch amerks game and he was playing rw then. Quote
tom webster Posted July 2, 2017 Report Posted July 2, 2017 I thought Bailey was playing RW in Rochester? I went to a crunch amerks game and he was playing rw then. They spent the year getting him nor comfortable on the left side and whenever injuries or call ups didn't interfere he played LW. Quote
Scottysabres Posted July 2, 2017 Report Posted July 2, 2017 They spent the year getting him nor comfortable on the left side and whenever injuries or call ups didn't interfere he played LW. Cool. That sounds like a plan. Quote
Thorner Posted July 3, 2017 Report Posted July 3, 2017 They'll still need to add some left shot LWs if Kane isn't here. Will be interesting to see if he gets extended here. Quote
