WildCard Posted May 31, 2017 Report Posted May 31, 2017 (edited) Inspired by Roman Josi makes 4mil per year through 2020. Best contract in hockey? (Idea floated on WGR550) Karlsson's contract has a cap of $6.5 from 2012-2013 to 2018-2019 Edited May 31, 2017 by WildCard Quote
LGR4GM Posted May 31, 2017 Report Posted May 31, 2017 Roman Josi for me. Good thread BTW. Josi is the anchor of that Nashville defense and for 4mil that contract is worth every single penny. Guy is easily worth 6.5-7mil in my mind (might be crushing though) Quote
thewookie1 Posted May 31, 2017 Report Posted May 31, 2017 Duncan Keith and Hyjrmlsson, or however his name is spelled, certainly are up there. Quote
ubkev Posted May 31, 2017 Report Posted May 31, 2017 Crosby at $8.7M per Speaking of this. What do you think is happening with the rest of of that money? They paying him about 4 million under the table? Incentives for after retirement? How many accountants do they have laundering Crosby's money so that he can keep his psychological 87? Quote
Drunkard Posted May 31, 2017 Report Posted May 31, 2017 Speaking of this. What do you think is happening with the rest of of that money? They paying him about 4 million under the table? Incentives for after retirement? How many accountants do they have laundering Crosby's money so that he can keep his psychological 87? They'll probably just give him partial ownership of the team. He'll take over after Lemieux doesn't want to be the face of ownership anymore. Quote
Iron Crotch Posted May 31, 2017 Report Posted May 31, 2017 Mattias Ekholm at $3.75 million through 2022 is an absolute steal. The Josi contract is close, but is only through 2020. The Preds best all-around defenseman is probably Ryan Ellis and he is only at $2.5 million through 2019. ...compare that to shitbags like Zach Bogosian making $5.14 million through 2020 and Josh Gorges with another year at $3.9 million and it isn't hard to see why the Sabres suck. Money isn't well spent for the most part. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted May 31, 2017 Report Posted May 31, 2017 The league MVP and leading scorer is on his ELC ???? Quote
dudacek Posted May 31, 2017 Report Posted May 31, 2017 I'd like to think David Clarkson and Chris Pronger are pretty happy with theirs. Quote

GASabresIUFAN Posted May 31, 2017 Report Posted May 31, 2017 Marchand last season. 4.5 for 40+ goals and 85 pts. Good thing we paid Moulson 5 and Ennis 4.6. How about Tavares at 5.5 or Staal at 3.5? Although McCabe at 1.6 is a pretty good bargain. Quote
Thorner Posted May 31, 2017 Report Posted May 31, 2017 Crosby, at 8.7. Best player in the league is making substantially under market value. Quote
