LGR4GM Posted June 4, 2017 Report Posted June 4, 2017 Nashville fans are better then Buffalo fans... we should work on it Quote
Randall Flagg Posted June 4, 2017 Report Posted June 4, 2017 Best hockey atmosphere I've ever seen, I think. Quote

darksabre Posted June 4, 2017 Report Posted June 4, 2017 Nashville fans are better then Buffalo fans... we should work on it I really like that they do college cheers. It's making me feel nostalgic. That we can't have this kind of thing at Sabres games really bums me out. Quote
LGR4GM Posted June 4, 2017 Report Posted June 4, 2017 (edited) I really like that they do college cheers. It's making me feel nostalgic. That we can't have this kind of thing at Sabres games really bums me out. College football is King here, and it makes sense that fan mentality carries over. Buffalo has sucked in football for 17 years and the Sabres have sucked for at least 5 and some would say 10. Rough asking fans to be emotionally involved. Edited June 4, 2017 by LGR4GM Quote
LGR4GM Posted June 4, 2017 Report Posted June 4, 2017 PK is just so damn likable. might be my fav player. guys awesome Quote
Randall Flagg Posted June 4, 2017 Report Posted June 4, 2017 (edited) Crosby: 1 goal in his last 19 SCF games Toews: 2 goals in his last 17 playoff games That settles it. Iron Crotch Posted June 4, 2017 Report Posted June 4, 2017 (edited) What do they keep on chanting? After a goal it is: "Murray.... Murray... Murray... You Suck! ...It's all your fault! ...It's all your fault! ...It's all your fault!" The game atmosphere was like nothing I've ever experienced in my life. I thought there would be around 10,000 outside the arena watching on big screens. There were 50,000! That doesn't include everyone in the arena and watching in the many bars in downtown Nashville. I've never felt as much energy in an arena in any sport ever. http://www.thegamenashville.com/2017/06/04/national-media-gushes-over-nashville/ Edited June 4, 2017 by Potato Quote

Hank Posted June 4, 2017 Report Posted June 4, 2017 Downtown was absolutely bonkers. There was also viewing parties in Clarksville, Portland and other cities across middle Tennessee. I've never seen anything like it. Absolutely crazy. I don't think the Preds lose at home. I also don't think Pittsburgh loses game seven at home. It all come down to game five I think. After a goal it is: "Murray.... Murray... Murray... You Suck! ...It's all your fault! ...It's all your fault! ...It's all your fault!" He scores! You suck!". Right after the goal song it's "hey, you suck! Hey, you suck! Hey, you suck! We're gonna beat the hell out of you! You! You! You you you! After the one minute in the period announcement it's "thanks Paul! Quote

Nashville fans are better then Buffalo fans... we should work on it Nashville fans don't carry the emotional baggage we do. We'll never let go of the woe-is-us mentality. Quote
I-90 W Posted June 5, 2017 Report Posted June 5, 2017 I want to see how hockey crazed Nashville is years from now when they're in the basement of the West (all teams are eventually). Then we will see how much of a hockey city Nashville is. My guess is they are cheering for their city just as much as they are a hockey team. Just happens to be hockey. Quote

I-90 W Posted June 5, 2017 Report Posted June 5, 2017 Why does the Nashville love bother you so much? Because people talk about it like it's the hockey capital of the US. It's a bit absurd. If you don't shovel your driveway in the winter, your not in a hockey obsessed area. Quote

If you don't shovel your driveway in the winter, your not in a hockey obsessed area. No, people are marveling at the loudest hockey arena we've heard in years. That's bizarre criteria for how much people like hockey. Shoveling the driveway is what drives your interest in hockey? They had 5x as many people hanging outside their arena to watch the game on the big board as we did when we were in the playoffs. Quote
