Still pissed I missed that one. But with J-Bo in charge now, maybe the Amerks will be fun to watch again too. Count me in for a second Amerks meet-up. Maybe Ink can pick me up ;-)

Gimme enough booze and you never know who I'll go home with

I'd be interested as well, last time I met up with some of you post-game because I happened to have tickets, but I'll take any excuse to go to Gabriel's Gate and hangout with a bunch of weirdos to talk about sporps.

I feel like you have to be a weirdo to talk about sporps :D

Keep in mind that the ticket group that helped us out last year will not have an "extra game" to sell this year, because there are only 40 games at the Arena.  We might have to plan earlier and get a group rate (block of tix) from the Sabres group sales office.

Very true, good point. I'm doing my best to coordinate everything with Tom Webster, who's been great throughout this, as usual

I'm fine with just buying a ticket off of stubhub or something if need be. You guys were scattered all over last time, right?

Sort of.  Everyone was within a four or five section  area in 100 level.

Well, I think it's safe to declare the inauguration of this hopefully annual event a rousing success; everything from Eichel out-dueling Matthews to Modo coming all the way over from Sweden, that night had it all.

So, in talking with Tom Webster, we start again! The schedule isn't typically released until the end of June, but we would like to gauge the initial interest right first so we can prepare.

A few things:

1) It's only fair, IMO, that those who went last year are grandfathered in. If you went last year, you get first dibs on coming this year

2) I would like to do two games, one in November / December and one in March / April. We're not sure if this one is doable yet. If not, we would again do a spring game

3) We don't know the schedule yet, but I would like to hear thoughts on if we want another Leafs game, or a different team.

4) Gabriel's Gate worked perfectly, I vote we go there again.

This process went very smoothly last time, let's make it that way again please.

Yes I would like to make it in for the next one.  Coming from out of town as well so a Spring game works better for me with having to balance Family responsibilities.

Seats may be even closer together this year as well as we may see an addition of four up close and personal, also in the same area.

Nice.  Although, I actually prefer to sit higher.  Experiencing a game once against the glass is cool.. but then the novelty is gone, at least for me.  I am one of the people that would be happiest in row 1, center ice, 300 level.

300 level is so steep in keybank arena though, feels like you can fall right down.

I agree for the most part although sitting once or twice down three rows up is a whole different experience. Twenty rows up, on the aisle, on the blue line,  equi-distant from bathrooms in both directions is nirvana.

Center ice, last row of the 300s is basically heaven. I like being able to stand whenever I want and not bother anybody.

Did you ever go to the Aud? The stairs up in the oranges might as well have been ladders.497_Aud_508.jpg

Sigh we used to collect milk carton coupons and go to Braves games sitting up there yeh they were steep but you could see everything.

I was 12 or 13 when I saw my first Rush concert from up there. It was Exit Stage Left.

The Caps current arena is that steep up top. Sure keeps you sober.

I remember being in the oranges as a kid and being completely scared.

I don't remember the Caps arena being quite that steep, but maybe it is.  Saw some good stuff from those seats, including Patrick Roy breaking the record for wins and a Fleetwood Mac concert at which Stevie was stoned out of her mind.
