Yep, I'm down. I didn't attend the pregame meetup last year. Was there enough that a reservation should be made? I'm boring and usually hit up Pearl Street or 716 but I would prefer more a 'local' type spot if anyone has any suggestions. Really down for whatever though.

Gabriel's Gate worked well last time. Somebody reserved the back room.

I tend to hit Union Pub (formerly Pat McGinty's & then The Irish Times) across from Pilot Field (Dunn Tire Park, Mighty Taco Palace, or whatever the f### the baseball stadium is called) before games & though this year it's been pretty dead in there. (Which is disappointing - good bar food, reasonable prices, & good servers.) Doubt we'd need reservations there, though I could make 'em if somebody wanted to go there rather than the Gate.

I'm good with either.

One option that is away from the higher cost around the arena... and near the Gate is Fat Bobs.

https://www.fatbobs.com/

Not sure how big a group they could accommodate.

Plus Fat Bob's is delicious and a pretty sweet place. It also checks the box of being close to the Allen/Medical metro stop - same walk as Gabriel's Gate.

IIRC we landed on Gabriel's Gate since it was a) close to the Metro stop for those that wanted to park n ride and b) to show MODO what true wings were like. i don't think the wings are as necessary this time around.

Pick the place.. I need to look back where everyone is sitting and decide which ticket I need to buy for the game.... I should also check and see if any rooms are available at a nearby Marriott.

Let me know if you want me to inquire about the room at Cole's.. if you want to check on Fat Bobs go for it.... otherwise... pick it.

THe beer selections, for me, at Gabriels Gate was a little less than spectacular.. but hey.. I'm good.. I just need to have my hotel room to crash in.

Just a heads up I found my room at Adams mark on Expedia for like $100 for the night. Not as nice as the others but since it's only a place to crash I figured it was a good deal.

I might resort to that. I have a ton of points to get a free night at Marriott so that’s why I have the preference. I’ll keep Adams mark in mind.. nothing wrong with that.

Given the way the team is playing, the beer selection might be pretty important for the pre/post game.

Given this is a 1pm game, how early are we planning on meeting up? I had assumed the post game would be more of the activities, but it did help seeing what faces were in our group pre-game, as many of us didn't know the whole group the first time around.

Not sure how early people want to meet up.  I will be driving in that morning.  I'm probably more inclined to worry about after the game more than before the game.

Who's grabbing control of this?  :)  (not it)
