sabills Posted April 26, 2017 Report Posted April 26, 2017 Being run by the same people who run the Genny Brew House in Rochester apparently, which is VERY good. This is a nice piece for down there. Quote
darksabre Posted April 26, 2017 Report Posted April 26, 2017 Being run by the same people who run the Genny Brew House in Rochester apparently, which is VERY good. This is a nice piece for down there. Ooooh I didn't notice that detail. That's VERY good news. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted April 26, 2017 Report Posted April 26, 2017 Being run by the same people who run the Genny Brew House in Rochester apparently, which is VERY good. This is a nice piece for down there. I was shocked by how respectable those brews are. Quote
I-90 W Posted April 26, 2017 Report Posted April 26, 2017 That will be good for the downtown area near the arena. Labatt actually makes a surprisingly good NA that not a lot of people know about. Quote
PromoTheRobot Posted April 26, 2017 Report Posted April 26, 2017 In time that entire Cobblestone block will become bars and restaurants. A place close by where all those IIHF and Frozen Four fans can spend money. Quote
3putt Posted April 27, 2017 Report Posted April 27, 2017 Cagey move, if you can't deliver championships give the fans more beer. Win win or rather lose win. Quote

GASabresIUFAN Posted April 27, 2017 Report Posted April 27, 2017 This is another reason why I'm not throwing TP and PSE under the bus. He has made his share of mistakes as the owner of our teams, but his ownership ensure our teams stsy in Buffalo and he has invested hundreds of million in our city; maybe more then any person in living memory.. inkman Posted April 27, 2017 Report Posted April 27, 2017 Do a lot of people still drink Labatt? Just wondering how much the craft brew market ate into their sales. Quote
spndnchz Posted April 27, 2017 Report Posted April 27, 2017 Do a lot of people still drink Labatt? Just wondering how much the craft brew market ate into their sales. That's kind of what the new place is about. They're going to be trying out brewing some new craft stuff in there. Quote
inkman Posted April 27, 2017 Report Posted April 27, 2017 That's kind of what the new place is about. They're going to be trying out brewing some new craft stuff in there. Sounds like they are copying the Genesee model exectly. Good on them. Gennys craft brews saved that company. Quote
tom webster Posted April 27, 2017 Report Posted April 27, 2017 That's kind of what the new place is about. They're going to be trying out brewing some new craft stuff in there. Wouldn't be surprising to see it become a prototype for franchises across the country. Quote
LGR4GM Posted April 27, 2017 Author Report Posted April 27, 2017 Do a lot of people still drink Labatt? Just wondering how much the craft brew market ate into their sales. Sometimes you drink for quality, sometimes you drink for quantity. And sometimes you're just don't wanna spend 6$ on a craft beer. People still drink Labatt's, I'm sorry, Blue and Blue Light. Quote
SwampD Posted April 27, 2017 Report Posted April 27, 2017 Sometimes you drink for quality, sometimes you drink for quantity. And sometimes you're just don't wanna spend 6$ on a craft beer. People still drink Labatt's, I'm sorry, Blue and Blue Light. Yep. I'm only drinking one craft beer. I drink Blue light just to keep me in the game. And I'm convinced I'm the reason they sell Labatt's in northern Jersey (at least in Bergen county, anyway). Quote
pi2000 Posted April 27, 2017 Report Posted April 27, 2017 I'm jealous. Can't find Labatt south of LA except for one sleezy liquor store in Anaheim. Quote
ubkev Posted April 27, 2017 Report Posted April 27, 2017 I'm jealous. Can't find Labatt south of LA except for one sleezy liquor store in Anaheim. But on the bright side, you get all that sh!tty Mexican beer. Quote
LTS Posted April 27, 2017 Report Posted April 27, 2017 It's a great move. The Genny Brew House is awesome in Rochester. They will turn out great beer at that location on their pilot system. The brewers at these companies know how to make beer. The investment only improve the Buffalo area. Quote
Stoner Posted April 27, 2017 Report Posted April 27, 2017 From Vogl's piece today: Think about it. Fans can have dinner at the John Labatt House, watch Pegula’s hockey team and follow up the game with drinks at the Pegula-owned 716 Food & Sport. If they have too many beers, the fans can head upstairs to the hotel in the Pegula-built HarborCenter or use Pegula Sports and Entertainment’s One Buffalo app to summon Uber, the ride-sharing company that is a partner with the Pegula-owned Bills and Sabres. He has made his share of mistakes as the owner of our teams, but his ownership ensure our teams stsy in Buffalo and he has invested hundreds of million in our city; maybe more then any person in living memory.. +1 If you asked me whether I'd rather have the city succeed or the teams succeed I'll take the city every time. Of course, that doesn't mean we can't have BOTH, which would be nice. Sometimes you drink for quality, sometimes you drink for quantity. And sometimes you're just don't wanna spend 6$ on a craft beer. People still drink Labatt's, I'm sorry, Blue and Blue Light. I am Craft Beer Guy to a fault at times, but I keep a case of Blue Light in my work shop for when I'm doing stuff in there or around the house. Its what the body needs. Quote
That Aud Smell Posted April 27, 2017 Report Posted April 27, 2017 I am Craft Beer Guy to a fault at times, but I keep a case of Blue Light in my work shop for when I'm doing stuff in there or around the house. Its what the body needs. Very much the same. I'll alternate between Blue Light and Genny Light. I love the latter now that they've gone back to those classic-looking blue cans. Quote
BMWR100RT Posted April 27, 2017 Report Posted April 27, 2017 Noticed the calories and high alcohol content in craft beer. And the high cost. I'm drinking rolling rock and feel like I'm in college again. I think that industry is over-saturated and these corporate boys are getting smarter. Uh-Oh. Quote
