GoPre Posted May 11, 2017 Report Posted May 11, 2017 0 scoring chances in the 3rd for Washington. Not a recommended strategy to use when losing. Wanted to see Ovechkin beat the Penquins and then land a Cup. Time will slowly become a problem. The panic of fewer and fewer chances to win a Cup will begin to increase. Ovechkin will be 32 next season. Quote
Sabel79 Posted May 11, 2017 Report Posted May 11, 2017 I fact, I'm one of those people that think they shouldn't have the anthem at pro sporting events at all. "Those People" are the correct people. Quote
darksabre Posted May 11, 2017 Report Posted May 11, 2017 Well, at least Anaheim has made it 2 minutes in w/out choking it away. You were saying? Quote
WildCard Posted May 11, 2017 Author Report Posted May 11, 2017 Said it before and I'll say it again, Caigula was the kiss, not Vesey Quote
Claude Balls Posted May 11, 2017 Report Posted May 11, 2017 Keep Backstrom, trade Ovechkin. To the Sabres. I would take Ovie for a few years. He should still have a little left in the tank I would think. And playing with Eichel might re-energize the old man. Quote
qwksndmonster Posted May 11, 2017 Report Posted May 11, 2017 Well, at least Anaheim has made it 2 minutes in w/out choking it away. Not much longer than that, though. Quote

Taro T Posted May 11, 2017 Report Posted May 11, 2017 Faaaaaaack. Couldn't get 4 minutes in before starting the choke. Quote

Thorner Posted May 11, 2017 Report Posted May 11, 2017 I agree. But the Canadian anthem is so good I excuse hockey of that sin. I actually prefer how the American anthem sounds. It's a beautiful song. Blasphemous to say as a Canadian, but there ya go. --- Ducks are hopeless in game 7s Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted May 11, 2017 Report Posted May 11, 2017 I decided to be a responsible adult and leave the bar after the Caps game. The start to this game is making me want to go back :wallbash: Quote
Randall Flagg Posted May 11, 2017 Report Posted May 11, 2017 The Oilers need to find a way to make their road unis pop like their home ones do. Quote
Taro T Posted May 11, 2017 Report Posted May 11, 2017 The Oilers need to find a way to make their road unis pop like their home ones do. Orange skates. :p Quote
Randall Flagg Posted May 11, 2017 Report Posted May 11, 2017 Orange skates. :pI was thinking predators style, orange lids. Quote
Claude Balls Posted May 11, 2017 Report Posted May 11, 2017 Haha nope just switch his name around and drop the Mc that's my name. Just think if you went out for beers with Connor McDavid and Connor McGregor, and your middle name was Connor and last name Gregory? Talk about confusion.....now I know why there are so many fights in Irish bars. Quote

Talk about confusion.....now I know why there are so many fights in Irish bars. Haha true. I always joke if I had a son I'd name him Connor Connor. Quote
Claude Balls Posted May 11, 2017 Report Posted May 11, 2017 His contract is just insane for a winger. I mean, it's Ovi, but... I'm sure Botterill could re-work his contract. Quote
Claude Balls Posted May 11, 2017 Report Posted May 11, 2017 Kane+McCabe+Nylander+1st? I wouldn't wanna pay that price. I love Ovie, but he is not worth nearly that anymore. He will be 32 next season and he has been worn down over the years. He hits more than he scores, and as big and strong as he is, his body can't take that style of play too much longer. He looked worn out these playoffs. Quote
Thorner Posted May 11, 2017 Report Posted May 11, 2017 Exhibit A on why the Offside Challenge is stupid: weighs too heavily towards defence. Can't review that call, where Ducks shoulda had a goal. Quote
