sabills Posted May 3, 2017 Report Posted May 3, 2017 Man, Botterill looks like every kid who played on my high school football team.
That Aud Smell Posted May 3, 2017 Report Posted May 3, 2017 ^ Oh, that face. And, hey, PA and Ink: I'm going to miss GM TM too, at least on some levels.
North Buffalo Posted May 3, 2017 Report Posted May 3, 2017 Man, Botterill looks like every kid who played on my high school football team. Or half the over forty guys in my hockey beer league...
darksabre Posted May 3, 2017 Report Posted May 3, 2017  Dude has had some killer headshots taken
North Buffalo Posted May 3, 2017 Report Posted May 3, 2017  Dude has had some killer headshots taken Josies artistic rendering should be interesting!
WildCard Posted May 3, 2017 Author Report Posted May 3, 2017 That dude is the definition of milquetoast
darksabre Posted May 3, 2017 Report Posted May 3, 2017 Josies artistic rendering should be interesting! I have a very bad idea... That dude is the definition of milquetoast More like buttered toast.
dudacek Posted May 3, 2017 Report Posted May 3, 2017  Dude has had some killer headshots taken Speaking of killer headshots taken:
TrueBlueGED Posted May 3, 2017 Report Posted May 3, 2017 That dude is the definition of milquetoast As is evidenced by everyone's comparisons to high school and beer league  On the bright side, it's possible his giant head houses some grade-A gray matter.
Thorner Posted May 3, 2017 Report Posted May 3, 2017 Geez. It's like no one ever hired a GM that didn't work out before. May I remind you two poopy posters of: - Eichel - Risto - ROR - Reino - Kane - Okposo - McCabe - Lehner - Nylander - #8 overall pick in draft next month - RJ - No internal salary cap - State of the art practice and conditioning facilities - Unlimited resources for scouting, assistant coaches, etc. - Burning desire by ownership to win and willingness to spend whatever it takes to get there - Dedication by ownership to downtown urban renewal, with tangible accomplishments already Next year's team will almost certainly be significantly better than this year's team. Quit feeling sorry for yourselves. It's a great day to be alive. +1
WildCard Posted May 3, 2017 Author Report Posted May 3, 2017 (edited) Tbf you can take Freeman's list, remove Nylander and Okposo, and it's the same exact list as we would have had last May. Hell, you can take that exact list and just remove the pick and again, same list as last July. None of that means jack ###### if we don't fix the blue line and / or hire another bad coach Edited May 3, 2017 by WildCard
darksabre Posted May 3, 2017 Report Posted May 3, 2017 Speaking of killer headshots taken: The only thing uglier than the dudes in the fight are those jerseys.
Thorner Posted May 3, 2017 Report Posted May 3, 2017 We're not in the "underrated" part for Toews yet - the dude was just declared a top 100 player of all time over Geno Malkin Please don't remind me.
WildCard Posted May 3, 2017 Author Report Posted May 3, 2017 We're not in the "underrated" part for Toews yet - the dude was just declared a top 100 player of all time over Geno Malkin Pretty sure Karlsson was also not on that list. Just more proof that championships matter more than they should when evaluating the player. Or GM / HC too really
Thorner Posted May 3, 2017 Report Posted May 3, 2017 ^ Oh, that face. And, hey, PA and Ink: I'm going to miss GM TM too, at least on some levels. Me too. I've said all along I've respected the way he's done it his own way, the whole time.
North Buffalo Posted May 3, 2017 Report Posted May 3, 2017 Me too. I've said all along I've respected the way he's done it his own way, the whole time. Good scout imo, as others have said, not so good in valuations... wish him the best... he might want to lay off the sauce a bit.
DarthEbriate Posted May 3, 2017 Report Posted May 3, 2017 Well, I think it's possible to think both things -- i.e. that the tank was a mistake AND that there is reason to be optimistic for the team's prospects next year and in the long term. Some say the glass is half empty. Some say the glass is half full. Some say there is no glass and we are all awash in the water of time and space. I say do or do not, there is no tank. So... do we have a GM yet?

Nothing matters. God is dead and we will all follow soon. Enjoy Arby's. Edited May 3, 2017 by sabills

Weave Posted May 3, 2017 Report Posted May 3, 2017 Jeremy White RT'd a great one: "Not the first time Murray overpaid for a Moulson?" It was definitely Osteria. Tim and his wife have been regulars there since he came to town. GoDD would approve. A regular at a bar? My kind of guy. Now I'm sad to see him go.
