dudacek Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 If he goes up-and-comer, you can hand it to Botterill. Because Pittsburgh. Mike Johnson for coach.
Brawndo Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 Dudley would be a good choice for President of Hockey Ops. Smart, knowledgeable about the league and has scouting acumen.
WildCard Posted April 20, 2017 Author Report Posted April 20, 2017 Who the hell is Rick Dudley and what has he done?
Brawndo Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 do we have like a assistant GM that can run the ship right now? Yes Mark Jabkowski is the Asst GM
Sabre fan Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 Dudley would be awesome and I think would clearly be a big step forward and in the right direction...
dudacek Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 (edited) Who the hell is Rick Dudley and what has he done?Fine, veteran poster.Doesn't post enough, but has an impact, Strange taste in headgear. Edited April 20, 2017 by dudacek
Sabres Fan in NS Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 Who the hell is Rick Dudley and what has he done? You are joking, right?
Sabre fan Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 Yes Mark Jabkowski is the Asst GM alright thanks...hopefully he is able to continue the pursuit of Antipin as we sure could use the guy
WildCard Posted April 20, 2017 Author Report Posted April 20, 2017 Fine, veteran poster. Doesn't post enough, but has an impact, Strange taste in headgear. You are joking, right? No. But I see he's the ASM of Montreal, so hard pass
Rasmus_ Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 (edited) My pick: Pierre Mcguire Dude has a ton of hockey knowledge and I think it falls into the 'might be crazy enough to work' category. Plus he is the only guy who is weirder than Murray. Not sure I want someone who hasn't been a GM since the early 2000's leading the team. No thanks! Bleh. Edited April 20, 2017 by TheCerebral1
Sabel79 Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017  No. But I see he's the ASM of Montreal, so hard pass Sometimes I forget that many of you are children.

dudacek Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 Am I the only Sabrespacer stunned by today's revelation that the poster formerly known as Yse is actually Terry Pegula?

Sabres Fan in NS Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 Am I the only Sabrespacer stunned by today's revelation that the poster formerly known as Yse is actually Terry Pegula? I actually have thought that for some time. It all makes sense now.
Brawndo Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 Not a single one of those things is good He hasn't been on today actually... To set up a Hockey Department as President of Hockey Ops? The Sabres approached him about the GM Position after Darcy
nfreeman Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 If he goes up-and-comer, you can hand it to Botterill. Because Pittsburgh. Mike Johnson for coach. Chin up, my friend. TP is going to hit the mark on this one, just like, I believe, he has done with the Bills (with Whaley apparently on his way out and McDermott seeming like a real HC). And it's at least 50/50, and probably more like 70/30, that canning GMTM was the right call. Who the hell is Rick Dudley and what has he done? Someone pls post the "get out" gif.
PromoTheRobot Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 Hammy on WGR: Brandon will NOT be involved in hiring the new GM. Hammy wants Dudley, either for GM or president/czar. Sure he won't be This is exactly what Brandon WANTS you to believe. Bwa-ha-ha-ha...
TrueBlueGED Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 Sign me up for Duds as president of hockey ops, but I'd prefer someone else as GM.
Randall Flagg Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 Not a single one of those things is good He hasn't been on today actually... Yse is GASabresfan. He had to get a new account.
Jacque Richard Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 Fine, veteran poster. Doesn't post enough, but has an impact, Strange taste in headgear. In his prime was a hell of fighter. Check out is fight with bob Kelly with the flyers. Tough sob!
WildCard Posted April 20, 2017 Author Report Posted April 20, 2017 Yse is GASabresfan. He had to get a new account. This makes the most sense
nfreeman Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 Sign me up for Duds as president of hockey ops, but I'd prefer someone else as GM. This. Throw $$ at Duds to serve as president and hire the next GM. Then we start to look like we have a professional FO.
Two or less Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 Dudley? Drury? Drury GM, Housley coach. Go the young route. I'm all for Drury to be GM but he needs to be situatated with a strong front office. All of the successful teams who have gone that route fill their front office pretty well. Toronto has Shanahan, Lou, Hunter and hired that stat geek nerd. Tampa has Yzerman but he gets a lot of help from BriseBois. The Kings recently hired Rob Blake but have Robitaille looking over everything and they've promoted Futa (who we interviewed when we looked for GMs) to be Blake's right hand man. I'm not afraid of a first time GM but he will need a lot of help, with proven people around him and guys who have scouted and dealt with the cap before.
Brawndo Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 Question for the board. The Wild appear to be heading towards another early exit from the playoffs, they already fired their coach can Chuck Fletcher be far behind and is he a candidate for the Sabres? Stocked prospect system, seems to be able to draft well.
