Claude Balls Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 (edited) Can Jack captain, coach and GM the team? Peters mentioned Drury and Briere which are interesting names to throw in the mix. Edited April 20, 2017 by Claude Balls Quote
LGR4GM Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 (edited) clearly one does not fire both of them without something and someone in mind for the job...there is no way it will be anybody without big experience already whoever that may be Edited April 20, 2017 by LGR4GM Quote
nfreeman Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 He still has a voice, and if you can't make money running an NFL team, you are a complete moron. Fire Brandon and let's get someone in here with a winning and hockey and football pedigree for both franchises. I will be deeply dismayed if TP announces that RB will have a big role in helping find the next GM/President of Hockey operations. Quote
SabresBillsFan Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 What about the coach from Denver University. Seems like he always been known for producing some talent. Plus we could have the inside track on Will Butcher. Quote

nucci Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 He makes money marketing 2 of the worst franchises in sports. He's better at his job than any coach or gm either team has ever had. How do you not make money as an NFL franchise? Not hard to do Quote
LGR4GM Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 Very nice. This is a good point, and one that TP probably took into consideration -- i.e. why is the cupboard bare? The cupboard isn't bare, it is shallow. We need another 2 years of drafts to fully restock and get guys into the the system (out of juniors and into Amerk/Sabres) Quote

Sabre fan Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 makes no sense to fire GMTM then bring in someone with little or no experience at the NHL level. they have to hire people with a ton of job experience which I guess leaves us the LA duo Quote

Mustache of God Posted April 20, 2017 Author Report Posted April 20, 2017 Just like those other ideas That's what I was poking at. I will literally flip a table in a public space if the Pegulas bring in someone whose been with the organization for some nostalgia factor. The Sabres have never won anything, there's nothing to actually be nostalgic about. I also don't want dinosaurs coming in who've done it all before with other teams. I want someone fresh and hungry and motivated. Give someone a 1-year deal to prove something. I'm sick of seeing these cushy contracts be signed, it makes people too comfortable. You get the contract when you get the results. Quote

Doohicksie Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 So I just got online; had some stuff going on this morning. Pretty amazing news. This isn't how I saw it playing out at all. Let's see what (who) happens next. Quote

sabills Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 I'd bet we have a new GM within what, I week? Gotta move fast here, a lot of decisions to make, and soon. Quote
StuckinFL Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 This brings an interesting thought. What if Babcock was on board to come here but Murray's philosophy on how the game should be played and the team he wanted to assemble just rubbed him the wrong way and that was the biggest reason to go to Toronto? Quote

Derrico Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 This is what Bucky said: I'm told Pegulas were looking for answers on how to proceed, and Murray didnt have many, or any. Bylsma was collateral damage swept w/GMTM Quote

freester Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!! if you think McNabb is a talented Dman you arent paying attention! Andrew Peters just repeated exactly what I just posted, I trust his opinion more than yours Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 On the bright side, at least I won't have to hear anyone speculate that maybe the well has dried up, and the Pegulas are tightening the purse strings. That sort of speculation should be dead, and stay dead. Quote
ct fab Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 Andrew Peters just repeated exactly what I just posted, I trust his opinion more than yours McNabb is a below average dman that LA fans want run out of town. Of course, DLo and Faeshing are also below average players. Quote
