Randall Flagg Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 True, but I feel that way about every single show on any network that has a bunch of guys around a table talking about any sport. Yep. Even when they put goofy suits on one of the guys, it's still a waste of time to listen to. Quote

Randall Flagg Posted April 21, 2017 Report Posted April 21, 2017 Oh hey there's hockey on It's been a solid first round, but I haven't had a chance to catch as much as I would have liked. Quote
darksabre Posted April 21, 2017 Report Posted April 21, 2017 It's been a solid first round, but I haven't had a chance to catch as much as I would have liked. The matchups haven't been super interesting to me. Quote
Thorner Posted April 21, 2017 Report Posted April 21, 2017 The matchups haven't been super interesting to me. And it's going to be pretty much the same thing every year, if they don't change the stupid current playoff format. Quote
Weave Posted April 21, 2017 Report Posted April 21, 2017 And it's going to be pretty much the same thing every year, if they don't change the stupid current playoff format the Sabres don't make the show. Fixed for me. Quote
Thorner Posted April 21, 2017 Report Posted April 21, 2017 Fixed for me. Too true. When the playoffs started, I was longing for the drama and excitement that we all remember associating with Sabres playoff hockey. Better come next year. Quote

Taro T Posted April 21, 2017 Report Posted April 21, 2017 So... Can Nashville do it? The Force in the one they call 'Charlie' is strong. So most likely. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted April 21, 2017 Report Posted April 21, 2017 So... Can Nashville do it? Yes. And if they get swept out, following last year's first round ouster, I'm going to claim victory on my "they're going to have a lot of trouble staying competitive with the Toews/Kane deals" narrative I've painted for a couple years now. Should I? Maybe, maybe not. But I'm definitely going to  Quote
millbank Posted April 21, 2017 Report Posted April 21, 2017 Montreal - New York my goodness , Rangers looking stronger in first overtime Quote

Man, it's unbelievable that the Preds are holding Chicago scoreless the way they have been this series. Quote

Man, it's unbelievable that the Preds are holding Chicago scoreless the way they have been this series. All yours, man. Then we can split the difference and both go after the Weber-Subban intangibles snark if the Preds go deeper than the Habs. Quote

JujuFish Posted April 21, 2017 Report Posted April 21, 2017 Bye bye Chicago. How often does the #1 seed in a conference get swept in the first round? Impressive, Nashville. Quote
pastajoe Posted April 21, 2017 Report Posted April 21, 2017 Chicago scored 3 goals in the series, incredible. Quote
Mustache of God Posted April 21, 2017 Report Posted April 21, 2017 Chicago scored 3 goals in the series, incredible. Has Quenville's message gone stale in the windy city? Is he on the hot seat? Does he want to coach here? Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted April 21, 2017 Report Posted April 21, 2017 Has Quenville's message gone stale in the windy city? Is he on the hot seat? Does he want to coach here? With the Toews/Kane contracts, they have ZERO margin for error (and Toews is decidedly NOT worth that contract, but it's not like he's the kind of guy you trade at 26 when he signed the deal). The Seabrook contract was a HUGE error--his play has dropped off precipitously. Hossa, while still a very good player, is no longer his peak HoF self. There's more, but those are the biggest issues. thewookie1 Posted April 21, 2017 Report Posted April 21, 2017 Now I'm at a loss on who to root for, hate Nashville because they beat the Hawks. Don't want a Canadian team to win, don't want the Pens to repeat, Boston can burn in hell, which leaves me with: St.L - Hawks rival so no... Minnesota - likely eliminated Washington - Sure Anaheim - Sure SJ - Sure Wow I have two 2-2 series and a 2nd Round team... *cries in corner about Hawks* *cries harder due to the Sabres* *runs out of tears* Quote
