This is vitally important news moving forward...Kyle is a good person and a very good hockey player and we need him in the lineup. Strange that the team has not said virtually anything about his condition. Makes you wonder if there isn;t something wrong here that they ain't telling us...

Not really. By law, they can't say anything about his health, especially if whatever he is being treated for is not a hockey game/ practice related injury.

And as others have stated above, this news, if correct, is excellent to read.

So glad to hear this.

I wonder: What sort of medication does one take for a concussion?

Wording might be important here. "When dealing with concussion."

If Okposo suffered a concussion, then it's possible that he may have also damaged his detached retina, which previously almost ended his NHL career with the Islanders...

It was repaired though.

In what medical way are you making that connection?

More likely if he had a reaction to meds if true, the liability issue kept everyone silent. Vulture... er lawyers start circling fast.

Carrier confirmed to RDS in an interview that Okposo had a concussion

I think that had been widely reported as the reason for his initial absence from the lineup.

The hospitalization was reportedly tied to an adverse reaction to a medication he took for the concussion.
