Trettioåtta
Is this not somewhat premature? We're basically using the remainder of the season to assess what talent we have. Similar to pre-season. Might as well get some benefit from this lost season.
TrueBlueGED
Is this not somewhat premature? I think he'll be better in the NHL than he was in Rochester. Assuming he's put with talent, anyway.

Compared to his brother, he has had a very udner whelming AHL season. I believe scouts still rank him highly, otherwise I would be worried we had the Jared Staal

Hard to directly compare their first seasons as a result.

Makes me wonder what's wrong with Rochester Edited April 2, 2017 by WildCard
Winston
Maybe this deserves its own thread ( :P ), but.... What number will Nylander wear?
TrueBlueGED
Maybe this deserves its own thread ( :P ), but.... What number will Nylander wear? 75053435421. It'll go up one arm, across the back, and down the other arm.

dudacek
If he s not playing on either Eichel's or O'Reilly's wing then this is pointless.

kas23
Is this not somewhat premature? Same thing was done with Rinehart and many, many young players. Give him a taste of what the NHL is all about and have him identify what he needs to work on. This is not a surprise.

I figured we might not see him this year, so I'm surprised.

Maybe they just want him to gain some perspective. See what all this work is for. They probably expect him to have his ass handed to him. Taro T
I think he'll be better in the NHL than he was in Rochester. Assuming he's put with talent, anyway. Why would he get to play w/ talent? He needs to EARN thst opportunity. (As D'lo licks his lips at being winger on the Eichel - O'Reilly line.)

North Buffalo
He'll be centering Reinhart and Moulson LOL, unfortunately, more of a chance happening then DD being fired and Murray the interim.

Hopefully the Sabres "braintrust" won't get this kid injured as they attempt the dog and pony show for the few fans that remain in these last few meaningless games.
