Apparently Jack and Sam have friction

A little ditty about Jack and Sam-I-Am. Two North American kids growing up in the heartland. Jackie gonna be a hockey star. Sam-I-am debutante in the back of Jackie's car.

This should end this debate real quick

Forget every other stat/analytic. All 16 teams w/plus goal differential currently in playoff spot. All 14 minuses currently out. #Sabres -28

So I don't have a twitter, but can someone remind Harrington that the Senators took 2nd in our own division, and have a -2 goal differential?

Are you way too young to say, "have a twitter"? Guys like me say, "I'm not on the Facebook."

I'm honestly just being lazy, didn't feel like typing out the word 'account'

Harrington is the biggest douchebag. Well let me rephrase that. He's the worst I've read and I usually skip past his writing...Ahem, cough.

Just checking your reading comprehension Mikey  ;)

Paul Hamilton is making a strong push for first. Will he succeed?

He's either right, has been set up, or is carrying water for team management (provided, of course that they would actually want him to be carrying this particular water for... reasons).

I genuinely don't know which is more plausible.

I really, truly hope Harrington reads this.

If he is, I hope he knows how moronic he sounds on a daily basis. I'm speechless about how dumb this guy is

Got himself a good gig with the news

Hamilton is a bland empty suit wannabe mouth piece... Harrington is just useless.

Send your resumes over to the news

Harrington still holds the championship belt:

Complaint Dept: Wouldn't have killed Pegula to give us 30 minutes after all this time. Obviously I got a bunch more things to ask.

Step 1) Ask bad questions

Step 2) Complain you don't have time to ask the good questions

The responses to that tweet, and a bunch of his other ones today, were priceless.  He got completely roasted and you could tell he was embarrassed.

I don't follow all that drama, but it sounds like Harrington can never be right about anything. If he tweeted that he likes chicken wings, people would come down on him. Whatever mild form of protest of the media the super-short presser represented, the Sabres need to understand who they really were disrespecting: us. MIke isn't wrong.

Well sure, as any self-respecting member of the Buffalo community knows that it's simply "wings." Adding the "chicken" would rightfully invite ridicule.

So they're not chicken? I always suspected. Was Charlton Heston right?

I'd say it's the opposite -- he can never be wrong about anything, at least in his view.  He flips out over anyone disagreeing with him and subtweets people from WGR nearly every day because his feelings are still hurt from the Tank debate *three years ago*.  He also lies about what the pro-Tank people were even saying and has been called out by Paul Hamilton (the only WGR person that actually interacts with him) on it.  And, of course, fans are rubes that are either brainwashed by radio or the Pegulas.

He comes off like a wildly sensitive old man that can't cope with how much influence newspapers have lost during his career.  He's right 100% of the time.  He must be.  Because newspapers.

Look at it another way - do you really want to follow anyone who covers sports and can't have a sense of humor about things they were way off about?

Most of, if not all of them are miserable, repetitive, rude, angry, hostile, and just flat out out of date with modern sports. Their questions and interviews are garbage, and I rarely hear anything eye opening, if ever.

Hi Everyone - I'm new to the board - first post.  I have enjoyed reading threads over time and was soooo excited and amused during the Vesey sweepstakes thread.  There's a diversity of opinion here which is great.

I'm happy that WildCard started this discussion.  Buffalo sports media coverage has been wearing on me for a long time but IMO really crossed the line with the attack on Whaley during his year end PC.  Some may agree with their antagonistic questioning but I believe that they were mean spirited.  Media coverage is continually treading out-of-bounds.  False statements are attributed to Eichel, Pegula and many others.  They hide behind "sources" and seem self-justified in stirring the pot.  Certainly no accountability for them - except those of us who refuse to give them clicks.  I can't respect that type of reporting and believe that the MEDIA is being diminished ---- though their own classless reporting.

One thing on Murph.  I sometimes think back on the Bills Super Bowl run.  He was great back then.  We were all so excited to hear anything on the Bills and he was a voice that fueled fandemonium during a fantastic run.  When wins are more scarce his optimism has a different effect.

Lastly, I more enjoy the reporting of Chuck Pollock and their hockey guy (can't think of his name).  Although they seem to be running John Wawrow lately.

Looking forward to interacting with y'all.

The bottom line is Buffalo has way too many people covering sports. We have two major teams. How many people really need to cover two organizations?

So true.  We don't need 5 talking heads on NFL pregame shows either.
