Randall Flagg Posted March 17, 2017 Report Posted March 17, 2017 Jack was a rare combination of not engaged and having every bounce go the wrong way. Glad to see ERod and Fedun rewarded for their games at the end. Quote
Mustache of God Posted March 17, 2017 Report Posted March 17, 2017 Caught the last seven minutes of the third. Meh. Quote
Claude Balls Posted March 17, 2017 Author Report Posted March 17, 2017 Can't wait for DB post game interview not. I wanna hear Lehner's interview. Quote
JJFIVEOH Posted March 17, 2017 Report Posted March 17, 2017 Nice to see the team really give the fans something to look forward to next year. Quote
Tondas Posted March 17, 2017 Report Posted March 17, 2017 Well, there's always tomorrow, or next year, or next decade, etc. Quote
Tondas Posted March 17, 2017 Report Posted March 17, 2017 For what it's worth, I thought Fedun, E-Rod, Foligno, and Lehner played well tonight. Quote
Claude Balls Posted March 17, 2017 Author Report Posted March 17, 2017 Jonathan Quick record against the Sabres 5-1-0, 3 shutouts. Bet they can't wait to face him again. Quote
North Buffalo Posted March 17, 2017 Report Posted March 17, 2017 Jack needs to learn how to hit. Rodriquez line was the best one out there tonight. Reinhardt a shadow of his former self. Lerner not the problem... Jack doesn't know how to get puck out of his own zone when under pressure nor how to take it away when it goes into the corner.... For all his goal scoring and being able to move with a guy on his back, he won't dish it out when needed... Maybe because he knows season is over... Fasching looks like I hoped he would what a beast. Quick was on his game... Gionta Ennis and Moulson too small for this game. Maybe one of them but not three on this team. Wasn't expecting much and hey good news Sabres only 4 points out of 10 in division and Yotes picked up a point on Sabres too. Quote
I-90 W Posted March 17, 2017 Report Posted March 17, 2017 I wanna hear Lehner's interview.True good point. Wouldn't be surprised to hear him call the team out again. Quote
North Buffalo Posted March 17, 2017 Report Posted March 17, 2017 PS Refs that was a hip check by Gorges not a trip nor a penalty... BS call... Must re-imagined a penalty... Quote
DarthEbriate Posted March 17, 2017 Report Posted March 17, 2017 Given how they've looked the last couple weeks, if only there was some sort of bye week in the NHL to give this team a break... oh. Well, good thing the string remaining to play out is only 11 games long. I'd still bring up Baptiste and Bailey over Ennis and Moulson. Heck, you could waive Ennis and Moulson -- no one is picking them up. And it's not like the Amerks are playoff bound so they're not gaining additional experience or unity staying down. Quote
Claude Balls Posted March 17, 2017 Author Report Posted March 17, 2017 The way I feel right now, if DB is still the coach next year I won't watch one game next season. Of course I will, but if he's here I really don't want to. Quote
North Buffalo Posted March 17, 2017 Report Posted March 17, 2017 Only 7 points out of 29 place... Quote
JJFIVEOH Posted March 17, 2017 Report Posted March 17, 2017 At this point they're not even going to improve over last year. Quote

From the game camera it looked like a trip at first. But obviously, it was a dreadful call when looking at the on-ice camera. Quote

dudacek Posted March 17, 2017 Report Posted March 17, 2017 Carrier is a junkyard dog and Bailey has the most talent, but I think Fasching is the most effective player of our prospects on the wing. Always liked his game. that whole line played the kind of hockey I like. Robin Lehner was very good (as usual, good enough to win) but the rest of our best players were bad, particularly Jack and Sam. Quote
Thorner Posted March 17, 2017 Report Posted March 17, 2017 Boy, that offside was, um, ridiculous. The Girgensons one on ERod's rush? Girgensons should be ashamed of himself for that bit of laziness. Either that, or Girgs is setting an example for the rookie: We don't try and attack the zone with that much effort on this team, kiddo. For some reason today's game was even more of an eye opener than usual. This coach and these players are counting the days until their tee times. 2-9 since they, to a man, said it was crunch time. What a disheartening season. Quote

JJFIVEOH Posted March 17, 2017 Report Posted March 17, 2017 Is WGR just not covering Goober's presser because it's 1:30 AM, or did he just say ' it, not gonna go through this again'? Quote

Find another guy like Rodriquez who can play center and you have two good grind lines, maybe Rodriguez Foligno and Fasching for one Girgenson Bailey and Baptiste... throw Carrier back on Jack's line and O'Reilly Kane and Okposo next year... Keep Nylander down unless he puts on more weight and keep Gionta as a player coach... lose Ennis and Moulson Edited March 17, 2017 by North Buffalo Quote
