As fringe players go, I actually like him and I think that he is pretty good.  Nothing fancy, but rarely poops his pants either.

We've looked good with him (and Eichel) in the lineup on several occasions -- certainly we're quicker with Fedun.

I hope he makes it back to Rochester. I like him as a 7, rushing d. But... If I'm a playoff team looking for cheap playoff depth... I snag him.

If he's recalled this season, he won't need to clear waivers again to be sent down until he's been up for 10 games or 30 days. But after the trade deadline if he's been brought up he'd only need to be sent down if his salary would put the team over the cap. The 23 man max roster size goes away.

 

So, realistically, he won't have to clear waivers again this year.
