Randall Flagg Posted February 17, 2017 Report Posted February 17, 2017 Thoroughly handled the worst team in the league. We aren't going to be that snakebitten the next time we play them, though they may decide to show up too. Lehner shutout, Samson goal, Kane with a brilliant move. Solid game, get 3 of the next 4 points and rest this week. Quote
bunomatic Posted February 17, 2017 Report Posted February 17, 2017 Nice win. Didn't notice Grigorenko much. Lehner was solid. Quote
Scottysabres Posted February 17, 2017 Report Posted February 17, 2017 Nice!!!!! On to the next, just win boys! Quote
dudacek Posted February 17, 2017 Report Posted February 17, 2017 Exhale. Haven't had many wins like that one in the past few years. Quote
hockeyhound Posted February 17, 2017 Report Posted February 17, 2017 (edited) AGAIN. I hope they make a habit of it. Let's Go Buffalo! Edited February 17, 2017 by hockeyhound Quote
MODO Hockey Posted February 17, 2017 Report Posted February 17, 2017 No matter what team we play boys, a victory feels damn good! glad i set the alarm to get up in the middle of the night.Good night boys, much love Quote
dudacek Posted February 17, 2017 Report Posted February 17, 2017 Not going to read to much into an awful opponent, but a very solid effort from start to finish. Nice to see. Quote
WildCard Posted February 17, 2017 Report Posted February 17, 2017 Kane upping his trade value, very nice Quote
darksabre Posted February 17, 2017 Report Posted February 17, 2017 Taking a lead into the 3rd and winning. Weird. Quote
grinreaper Posted February 17, 2017 Report Posted February 17, 2017 I don't recall a penalty on the Sabres. Quote
hockeyhound Posted February 17, 2017 Report Posted February 17, 2017 Kane upping his trade value, very nice If he stays out of trouble why trade him? Quote
That Aud Smell Posted February 17, 2017 Report Posted February 17, 2017 Samson with the throwback goathead hat on the post game. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted February 17, 2017 Report Posted February 17, 2017 Samson with the throwback goathead hat on the post game. I've been meaning to comment on that hat. I love that hat. Quote
hockeyhound Posted February 17, 2017 Report Posted February 17, 2017 Kane's not being traded The guy brings it. I like the way he plays; his aggressive play sometimes takes him out of play, and leaves his line hanging but, He plays hard with grit. Nice job tonight Sabres. Quote
Huckleberry Posted February 17, 2017 Report Posted February 17, 2017 philly losing to edmonton :) Quote
Randall Flagg Posted February 17, 2017 Report Posted February 17, 2017 Did anyone catch that chart of American-born players they showed? It had the points of young Americans, and Jack was second-last on the list, and there was no mention of the games played by the players. Stupid/misleading chart. Jack's points-per-game is higher than every single one of them, including Auston. Quote
matter2003 Posted February 17, 2017 Report Posted February 17, 2017 silently the Sabres creep to within 3 points of the last wildcard spot...albeit the teams in front of them have a few games in hand... Quote
That Aud Smell Posted February 17, 2017 Report Posted February 17, 2017 If Kane were to get traded, the return would need to be significant at this point. Like, a solid top 4 LHD player or a similar prospect +. Quote
thewookie1 Posted February 17, 2017 Report Posted February 17, 2017 Lehner 1, Avs 0 Love Reino's hat, just wish he would of cashed in one of the other chance he had. Eichel had an overall solid game Quote
hockeyhound Posted February 17, 2017 Report Posted February 17, 2017 (edited) Keep it going, they didn't blow it tonight, good job. Lehner was on his game, and I hope we're just starting to see the kind of goalie he can be. and Bailey, wow, the kid can skate. Colorado didn't know what to do with him. Randall Flagg Posted February 17, 2017 Report Posted February 17, 2017 (edited) When the forwards get healthy I want to see: Bailey - ROR - Okposo Carrier - Eichel - ReinhartKane - Girgensons - Gionta Foligno - Rodrigues - Ennis Or, get our corsi-dream-team top line back togetherCarrier - ROR - Okposo Kane - Eichel - Reinhart Foligno - Girgensons - Bailey Ennis - Rodrigues - Gionta Getting Grant, Deslauriers, Moulson out of the lineup makes us so much faster. If Kane were to get traded, the return would need to be significant at this point.Like, a solid top 4 LHD player or a similar prospect +. Not just top 4 - I want a guy that either is a bona-fide number two, or a guy that ANCHORS the second pair, not a complementary second pair guy like McCabe, a guy that elevates McCabe.
