Mustache of God Posted February 14, 2017 Report Posted February 14, 2017 11 am on a gameday and no thread? Have our Sabre souls officially been broken? I'll give it a shot. I hear Lehner is starting and Bogo may be healthy. The big story is how will the team respond after the comments at the end of the disappointing Vancouver game. To keep consistent with their inconsistency I'm guessing we'll see a win here. Ottawa should be looking to make a statement after being shutout by the Buffalo Sabres over the weekend. It's also Valentines Day so spread some love today, or don't. Also: How does Buffalo respond to Enzosauce, a glorified ranch with hot sauce? If it were bleu cheese maybe we'd be talking but talk about not identifying with your market. Quote
Derrico Posted February 14, 2017 Report Posted February 14, 2017 I thought they played tonight. Then couldn't find a GDT a half hour ago so thought I was mistaken. Wow things are not good..... Quote
That Aud Smell Posted February 14, 2017 Report Posted February 14, 2017 5-2 for the good guys. Eichel with 2 goals (one EN) and an assist. In an apparent first, he'll also pick up a trailing player in the d-zone and thwart a scoring opportunity. Quote
darksabre Posted February 14, 2017 Report Posted February 14, 2017 No inspiration to watch. Think I'll do something else. Quote
woods-racer Posted February 14, 2017 Report Posted February 14, 2017 Win or lose I can't wait for the post game interviews! Quote
Scottysabres Posted February 14, 2017 Report Posted February 14, 2017 2nd shift, blah I'll have the ear piece in with wgr on. Just win boys! Quote
Brawndo Posted February 14, 2017 Report Posted February 14, 2017 Kane not on the ice this AM Kulikov taking his spot on the PP Quote
Randall Flagg Posted February 14, 2017 Report Posted February 14, 2017 I'll be watching for points from Eichel and Reinhart, ES goals from Kane, and A N G E R Y L E H N E R Quote

pi2000 Posted February 14, 2017 Report Posted February 14, 2017 If you watch every other game, you think this team is either at the top of the standings or the bottom. Kane not on the ice this AM Kulikov taking his spot on the PP Maybe wrist is acting up, or he was traded, or sick, or overslept. Quote
woods-racer Posted February 14, 2017 Report Posted February 14, 2017 If you watch every other game, you think this team is either at the top of the standings or the bottom. They're a lot closer to one than the other, but, if one where to only watch them play the best teams in the league you would swear we would have to be among them. Quote
RonHextallsShoulderPads Posted February 14, 2017 Report Posted February 14, 2017 tugnutt shutout. sabres set record low 9 SOG. Lehner chased after two. DD traded to Vegas for 2020 provisional pick. Quote
Claude Balls Posted February 14, 2017 Report Posted February 14, 2017 Might just watch the first and third periods. The Sabres don't show up for second periods, so why should I. Kane lost shifts the other night later in the game so I'm thinking his wrist is bothering him more than they let on. Quote

That Aud Smell Posted February 14, 2017 Report Posted February 14, 2017 I have no issue with the Enzo Sauce being a spicy ranch. Nothing wrong with that. In fact, I think that's more or less what the Pizza Plant spicy/creamy salad dressing is (or used to be). Quote
WildCard Posted February 14, 2017 Report Posted February 14, 2017 (edited) Kane not on the ice this AM Kulikov taking his spot on the PP If he's injured we're beyond ###### I think we, in typical 2016-2017 Buffalo fashion, absolutely murder Ottawa tonight, Then lose to Colorado Thursday Harrington : Bylsma confirms Bogosian in, Kane a gametime decision (flu). #Sabres Lines from this morning: Bailey-ROR-Okposo Moulson-Eichel-Reinhart Foligno-ERod-Gionta Deslauriers-Grant-Ennis McCabe-Ristolainen Gorges-Kulikov Bogosian and Fedun with Falk. How in the hell does Gorges continue to get playing time? For the love of God tell me he's a UFA this year Edited February 14, 2017 by WildCard Quote
Randall Flagg Posted February 14, 2017 Report Posted February 14, 2017 Fedun should play over Gorges, but that's never gonna happen because lockerroom something something. It's our turn to win, and it's against Ottawa. W L, WW LL, W L, WWW LLL, W L, W L, W L. A W is up next. Quote
Doohicksie Posted February 14, 2017 Report Posted February 14, 2017 Bailey-ROR-Okposo Moulson-Eichel-Reinhart Foligno-ERod-Gionta Deslauriers-Grant-Ennis He's improved somewhat, but it seems to me there just isn't any natural chemistry between Bailey and the ROR line. He often seems out of sync with ROR/Oks. It seems like a lot of the time he ends up in the same spot as Okposo and just gums up the play- instead of complementing Okposo he tries to be Okposo. I'd much rather see him on any other line. DD seems like he tries to push square pegs into round holes too much of the time, instead of finding the combinations that naturally work well together. TheAud Posted February 14, 2017 Report Posted February 14, 2017 Gonna pass on tonight's game. Spending some Valentine's Day time with the wife. Of course she may suggest to watch the game. There's a reason I married her! Quote
Randall Flagg Posted February 14, 2017 Report Posted February 14, 2017 Neil in, Lazar out Feck that guy. I wanna see more of Evan Rodrigues. I was downright surprised by his play against Vancouver. Quote
French Collection Posted February 14, 2017 Report Posted February 14, 2017 Moulson with Sam and Jack. His best move is to bang in a rebound, he hasn't won a puck battle all year. Quote
