I'm most likely going to pick up more Sunday shifts/on call this season, I'll try to keep up with the league so I don't completely suck in our FF league.... But the bills will go 7-9 this year.... Book it

They have serious depth issues across the board.

5-11 would be my guess. I don't think Tyrod can stay on the field, especially once the OL starts to get dinged up, could spiral into a complete show quickly.

Is this part of your 'why I should have gone to Florida State' narrative? I'm confused.

Nope, that's entirely for the women

Watched some QB highlights, read some stuff on them

For me, I want Josh Rosen.

For the Bills, I'd bet anything Baker Mayfield is their guy

Putting a bow on my feelings going into the Bills season. I based my feeling of even the slightest bit of optimism on two things, that the 10th highest scoring offense in 2016 would continue to develop under the veteran tutelage of Rick Dennison and that the defense would improve under McDermott and Frazier. These trades have, in my opinion, done nothing to change this and we now have at least 6 draft choices in the first three rounds next year to look forward to.

On top of that, despite Jeff's misgivings, the Bills' front office and coaching changes have garnered almost universal praise from well respected NFL insiders. I am in a real good place with respect to the Bills right now, recognizing that nothing is guaranteed and I've been here before.

Rosen has incredible arm talent. He is also soft. Will be definitely watching him and the Bills better pray that the third best QB prospect is elite because I expect 2 QB's to go before Buffalo gets to pick.

Because the other bad teams realize they are bad.  Sean not smart enough.

Time to man up. With a genius like Sean and Terry P running the team you better be assuming playoffs. If not get out of here with your weak takes.

Some were wondering what we had in jeffsmagic - here he is.  See how he shifts it into things like "man up" and tries to bait you into being as ridiculous as he is.  He'll go away in a couple of weeks and go back to TBD.  He'll then get suspended again and be back for another short stint.  He's so angry at the mods over there that he won't be able to control his emotions.  He'll want everyone to know how wrong they were and he'll get his hand slapped again.

Instead of calming down, realizing we're all fans of the same teams and have different takes - it must turn into an insult laden argument.

This will be the last time I respond to him.  Just though it was important to expose him to you.

Just got back from camp.

Watkins and Darby for replacements and picks......looks decent.

If you look at the trades separately in terms of this year it looks like we did very well in the Eagles trade.  If we don't sign Matthews we come away with a 3rd round pick for Darby who has one additional year under contract. If we sign Matthews to an extension it's likely to be at least $5 mil less than what Watkins would get.

The Rams trade makes us worse this year - mitigates our loss of Darby - sets up future assets with getting a 2nd for a 6th and helps us on economics with a player they clearly weren't paying in Watkins after this year.

I think the Rams trade makes perfect sense for them and I think they won so long as they get a healthy Sammy.  The Eagles lost and I'm not sure what their thought process was.  Paying a 3rd round for Darby would have been compensation enough IMO but then they gave up Matthews too.  They could say well we weren't giving him 8-10 mil per anyway but paying a 3rd in that deal was crazy compensation for getting a player with 2 years and giving a player with one year.

Why don't you just post on your own account. I don't need you to translate my words. People can like or dislike what I have to say without your supervision.

You do realize you were the one that came and attacked me? I have been civil on both boards. It's the fans that think only their narrow opinion matters like yourself that turns a discussion into an argument. Stop being angry because some fans want better results than trading their best players for scraps.

I agree. I like the coach/GM combination we have in place for the first time since probably the late 1990's. I don't expect miracles, but also don't think the team will be as bad as what the "doomsday" crowd thinks. I genuinely like the moves that were made this week. Love Jordan Matthews. Great kid.

They were good trades. They were exactly what we should be doing, for once in the last 17 years

That's fine. I can handle differing opinions. But 13 is crazy upset that not everyone thinks Sean Jauron is a genius.

I don't think that's what he's upset about

Well, all I can say is when I posted a comment that Boldin was too old and the signing did not look good I was linked to from the other board where the majority of posters were angry that I had a different opinion than theirs.

I'm not sure I agree with this.  It' not like Watkins is going to turn them into a playoff team.

Matthews lasted one practice with us before chip-fracturing his sternum.. ouch

Very Billsy, indeed.

I actually laughed a little. The Bills are cursed.

That's so Buffalo.

Like 15 minutes into practice.  Billsy for sure.

As someone who approved of the moves late last week, it occurs to me: I will like the moves a whole lot less if Beane and McDermott don't go all in.

That is to say: They need to move McCoy ASAP.

That is to say: In the wake of those moves, I don't want another 6 or 7 wins. And a healthy McCoy will probably get that for you.

Both Beane and McDermott claim they are trying to win an rebuild at the same time. When you try to do both you get neither winning or rebuilding.
