Trettioåtta Posted February 28, 2017 Report Posted February 28, 2017 In a heartbeat Even with those possession numbers? Quote
WildCard Posted February 28, 2017 Report Posted February 28, 2017 Even with those possession numbers? Honestly haven't looked it up. A 2nd means nothing to me right now for the potential of Lazar. Don't we have a ton of 2nd / 3rds anyways? Quote
dudacek Posted February 28, 2017 Report Posted February 28, 2017 GMTM is going to trade Minny's 2nd for Lazar now isn't he? Please no I think I'd been the only one happy with that trade. I'd do that. Or maybe not. Honestly haven't looked it up. A 2nd means nothing to me right now for the potential of Lazar. Don't we have a ton of 2nd / 3rds anyways? I mean if the guy isn't the player he was touted to be, at least we've replaced Catenacci. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted February 28, 2017 Report Posted February 28, 2017 It's hard to put into words just how bad Lazar has been as a pro, but I'm going to try anyway: he's been Nic Deslauriers with a better draft pedigree. Quote

After his rookie year, really think he'd have been left to rot if his performance didn't fall off a cliff? I'll take him for a 4th. Quote

Yeah, but he's 4 years younger and went straight from Juniors (where he put up better numbers) to the big show. That's a much better trajectory than D-Lo. Quote
Brawndo Posted February 28, 2017 Report Posted February 28, 2017 My fear is that Murray was with the Senators when he was picked Quote

darksabre Posted February 28, 2017 Report Posted February 28, 2017 Steeper on the upslope.... steeper on the downslope. Not interested. I think he's exactly the kind of player you buy low if a team is down on him like he is this year. I think Ottawa won't give up on him, which is why he won't be had at a low price. I'd still give a 2nd for him though. I think his potential is high enough. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted February 28, 2017 Report Posted February 28, 2017 0-1-1 in 33 gp, with a -10 rel Corsi%, a 39% corsi, and 41% fenwick Ouch His possession stats tanked last year too, so it's not like this is a 30 game run. He's got 100 straight games of turd-like performance. Quote

TrueBlueGED Posted February 28, 2017 Report Posted February 28, 2017 How though? Maybe he's just not good and his rookie year was a fluke? And it's not like his rookie year was gangbusters either--even possession metrics and 15 points. Quote
dudacek Posted February 28, 2017 Report Posted February 28, 2017 I agree he's been awful. Loved the kid as a junior though. I'm with D4rk on the buy-low - pick 55 in a draft for a 21-year-old who has already played a lot in the NHL? Worth a gamble for me. Quote
GASabresIUFAN Posted February 28, 2017 Report Posted February 28, 2017 Lazar plays for Ott; bet GMTM gives up a 1st for him and takes the Hamburgler off their hands to boot. Quote
Brawndo Posted February 28, 2017 Report Posted February 28, 2017 I would rather the Sabres spend both seconds on D Man. The pool is pretty shallow. Quote

IKnowPhysics Posted February 28, 2017 Report Posted February 28, 2017 Love the idea of Lazar but I wonder if that could ever happen. We'd like Lazar please.... I would overpay for Lazar. That kid is the type of player you win with. I'm not surprised. Kid is manly. There's more. So many more. Quote
WildCard Posted February 28, 2017 Report Posted February 28, 2017 I know I really wanted him too Quote
