dudacek Posted February 24, 2017 Report Posted February 24, 2017 Looks like Montour or Theodore would realistically cost my original proposal of Kane + 2017 1st Because a 32-year-old UFA to be who scored 40 NHL goals over eight combined seasons in his hockey prime got traded for a second rounder? dudacek Posted February 24, 2017 Report Posted February 24, 2017 (edited) Similar conditions with Eaves as with the McGinn trade: bumps up to a first if the Ducks make round three and Eaves plays half their games. A year ago, Eaves had 17 points. Jimmy Nill would be very happy with that windfall. Edited February 24, 2017 by dudacek Quote

Scottysabres Posted February 24, 2017 Report Posted February 24, 2017 There goes Anaheim for Kane @StarsInsideEdge Dallas Stars trade RW Patrick Eaves to Anaheim for conditional second-round pick in 2017. Also means Sharp is likely to be moved to, and Dallas is in for some retooling this offseason 3rd line RW'er Anaheim's not even close to being done. They're stocking up for a run. Good first move for them. When Vermette returns Eaves will be a fantastic RW'er for him. They still are in desperate need of a top 6 scoring LW'er. Quote
kas23 Posted February 25, 2017 Report Posted February 25, 2017 Because a 32-year-old UFA to be who scored 40 NHL goals over eight combined seasons in his hockey prime got traded for a second rounder? I don't think it matters what he's done over the last eight seasons. The Ducks are gearing up for a playoff run and all that matters will be his production during the 16-17 playoffs. That said, his production this year has been awfully similar to Kane. Quote

Rasmus_ Posted February 26, 2017 Report Posted February 26, 2017 Looks like Montour or Theodore would realistically cost my original proposal of Kane + 2017 1st That's a terrible trade in terms of value. Theodore and Montour are promising for sure, but Kane and a 1st....is purely laughable. Quote

darksabre Posted February 26, 2017 Report Posted February 26, 2017 Ben Bishop traded to the LA Kings But...why? Quote
Winston Posted February 26, 2017 Report Posted February 26, 2017 Hanzal and Duclair fir Bonino and a first Caution.. I think that might have been a fake account Bish to LA is legit though. Blue check mark McKenzie says so haha Quote
WildCard Posted February 26, 2017 Report Posted February 26, 2017 But...why? Not making a lot of sense to me either @NHL_AaronWard Hearing if deal gets done, Kings get Ben Bishop and pick and TB Lightning would receive Erik Cernak, Budaj and pick #TSN Quote

Winston Posted February 26, 2017 Report Posted February 26, 2017 Either mega-insurance for Quick, or they have plans to flip him back somewhere else?? Not sure, it wasn't where I would have guessed Bish would land. Maybe LA just wants to own all the top USA netminders. NJ's phone should be ringing... Quote
WildCard Posted February 27, 2017 Report Posted February 27, 2017 Expansion draft? Moving Bishop makes sense for Tampa, I'm just amazed it's LA that got him. Tampa will retain salary too @TSNBobMcKenzie 8m8 minutes ago Official from LA: Bishop and 5th-rd pick in 2017 for Budaj, Erik Cernak, a 7th-rd pick in 2017 and a conditional 2017 pick. @TSNBobMcKenzie 2m2 minutes ago No trade call yet, but MIN and ARI are working to finalize a trade involving Martin Hanzal. MIN is all-in Seems like quite a hawl (hall?) for Hanzal Edited February 27, 2017 by WildCard Quote
GASabresIUFAN Posted February 27, 2017 Report Posted February 27, 2017 (edited) If that is Hanzel's value, what is Kane's? Minn gave up a 1st in 2017, 2nd in 2018 and conditional pick in 2019 according to Craig Constance and McKenzie. Edited February 27, 2017 by GASabresIUFAN Quote

TB would get nothing for Bishop when Vegas choses him. They now get a few puck bags for him. And maybe they figure Budaj will re-sign in the off-season as a cheap backup after ending the year there.
