Oh how the mighty have fallen.

They had a good run.  No regerts.

Dwight King from LAK to MTL for a 4th.

King is a nice 3rd/4th line piece, he's a big body and uses it on the forecheck to create turnovers.

Him and Ott together should help their checking game.

My sense is that Ott is just going through the motions these days.

Tar and feather me if you wish, but Toronto is an awful place to live and work.  I've done it and hated it.  My apologies to anyone out there in Sabrespace living in TO. I don't count Derrico as a Torontonian.

:flirt:

Dammit if GMTM doesn't move Franson or Kulikov soon we're probably not going to see Mat (One T) Brodie in a Sabres uniform. I'll be heartbroken.

Canadiens acquire forward Andreas Martinsen from the Colorado Avalanche, in return for forward Sven Andrighetto.

Montreal is apparently obsessed with forward depth this year

Per @RealKyper Filppula and pick for Streit

Hell of a move by Yzerman to shed Filppula'a salary for next season.

The #Flyers acquired F Valtteri Filppula, #TBL 4th round, & conditional 7th round selection in the 2017 NHL Draft

Yzerman is proving to be a hell of a gm

For the record, not disagreeing with you, but...

In less than two years he's gone from Stanley Cup finalist to an 85-point team.

In the same time, Tim Murray has gone from maybe the worst team in the past 20 years to an 85-point team.

Perception is a hell of a thing, isn't it?

Stamkos out and Bishop flopped. To his credit he has moved Bishop and other pieces to protect against the expansion draft. Now it will be interesting to see what he does with Callahan, and if Vas can be a number 1 goalie
