Mustache of God Posted June 19, 2017 Report Posted June 19, 2017 You would be sad to see Bogo go? ("Bogogo" needs to be said out loud btw) Sounds like a George Michael song. Quote
Eleven Posted June 19, 2017 Report Posted June 19, 2017 You would be sad to see Bogo go? ("Bogogo" needs to be said out loud btw) I don't like his price tag, but I think his upside is a lot higher than Carrier's. Quote
pi2000 Posted June 19, 2017 Report Posted June 19, 2017 Just looked at 9 mock drafts on NHL.com, ESPN and a couple of other sites. So far: Kulikov (2), Bogo (2), Ullmark (2), Carrier (2), and Moulson. This is fun... a total crapshoot. The Knights will have a meet and greet with fans and players (picked in the expansion draft) on Friday afternoon before the NHL entry draft party at T-Mobile arena. I'll be in Vegas early Wed, I'll let you know if I spot any familiar faces on the strip. Quote

TheAud Posted June 19, 2017 Report Posted June 19, 2017 (edited) I don't like his price tag, but I think his upside is a lot higher than Carrier's. I feel like after 9 full seasons in the NHL we've seen Peak Bogogo already... and he looked sort of slow to me by end of last season. But he's fine on the 3rd pairing if I don't think about his cap hit and what else they could potentially do with it. Actually I am not really losing sleep over losing Carrier either. GASabresIUFAN Posted June 19, 2017 Report Posted June 19, 2017 (edited) Lets be honest. We are losing 1 player; 1. No one they take will effect the ultimate trajectory of this team; even Ullmark. We are keeping all our top players: Risto, McCabe, Baloo, Jack, Sam, ROR, Lehner, Okposo and Kane We are keeping all our top prospects: Bailey, Baptiste, Nylander, Guhle, Fasching, Asplund, Pu, Borgen, Smith and Fitzgerald. We are also keeping most of our marginal players: Antipin, Foligno, Larsson, and Girgensons They are choosing from 1) Ullmark - a former 6th rd pick who likely won't be a starter for at least another 2-4 years 2) Carrier - a former 2nd rd pick who has only scored 28 goals in 168 pro games. 3) Bogo - a highly overpaid 3rd pairing D with a injury history 4) Moulson - an overpaid fading slow former scorer, who is now a PP specialist. 5) Gorges - an overpaid, slow faded D who is likely a 7th D in LV. 6) Kulikov - UFA who gave us 5 pts for 4 million. If we lose Ullmark it actually might convince Peterson to sign with us, we still have Johansson and Nilsson can be re-signed to serve as Lehner's backup. Not exactly a tragedy. GASabresIUFAN Posted June 20, 2017 Report Posted June 20, 2017 (edited) Y'know, if you've got a prediction, there's a neat little thread going on right around the corner... no prediction necessary because it's much a do about nothing. Whomever they choose we won't even notice the loss. Isn't that thread kind of redundant since this is the Sabres Expansion speculation thread. Edited June 20, 2017 by GASabresFan Quote

Two or less Posted June 20, 2017 Report Posted June 20, 2017 I know we're thin at goal but i am not sure why everyone is so concerned about losing Ullmark? Look at the list they have to pick from, they are likely to select 4-5 goalies and unless Ullmark is the second best one of the bunch, they will send him to the AHL, and thus needing to pass waivers where Buffalo would quickly him up. Of course, they could trade everyone of their goalies they draft besides MAF and Ullmark or another team can claim Ullmark but i'd think unlikely. I cant believe that word is censored on here wtf... lol time to go to bed. Pretty sure thats the first time one of my posts on here has been censored. Crazy, never wouldve thought it would be on a post like this.. Quote

WildCard Posted June 20, 2017 Report Posted June 20, 2017 @PierreVLeBrun Sabres, by the way, were also in on Mueller with SJ on Saturday before trading for Beaulieu. Devils end up with Mueller. Time will tell... Quote

sabresith Posted June 20, 2017 Report Posted June 20, 2017 I wonder..... that would put Jack and ROR together on the #1 line? Didn't read what you guys were talking about, but after Jack's rookie year they should of always been on the same line together. IMO, RoR is meant to be Jack's winger, along with Okposo or one of the young kids. Leaving Reinhart as 2c, Kane as his LW, and one of Okposo or the young kids to round out the second line. Quote
dudacek Posted June 20, 2017 Report Posted June 20, 2017 Since the Nylander pick, I've been hoping to one day see: O'Reilly Eichel Nylander Kane Reinhart Okposo But I don't think I ever will Quote

Wow. Can you imagine? That top line could end up being one of the best lines in the league. I still can't fathom why people want one of the better face off centers in the league (ROR) on the wing. It doesn't appear to be the best use of an asset. Quote
