Brawndo Posted January 10, 2017 Report Posted January 10, 2017 I heard Lehner has the flu Was not at the AM Skate Quote
Derrico Posted January 10, 2017 Report Posted January 10, 2017 Seems Bylsma might be riding the hot hand after all. I heard Lehner has the flu This. Lehner has the flu. He was originally going to be the starter. Quote
Brawndo Posted January 10, 2017 Report Posted January 10, 2017 Bylsma says Samson will play with Jack after TV timeouts and when the bench gets shortened Quote
darksabre Posted January 10, 2017 Report Posted January 10, 2017 This. Lehner has the flu. He was originally going to be the starter. Well crap. So much for that. Quote
bob_sauve28 Posted January 10, 2017 Report Posted January 10, 2017 A good point. Really not sure Nylander is ready for the big leagues next year When is Ennis back? Pretty soon, he is taking part in full practices I heard Lehner has the flu So does my cat, I think Quote
qwksndmonster Posted January 10, 2017 Report Posted January 10, 2017 Awwww, poor Eleven. His Favorite Little Flyer is on the third pair. Glad Samson is back at center. Not fond of Zemgus on the 4th line. What is the point of shuffling lines to random combinations during practice? To create as little chemistry as possible? Does Bylsma think he's Belichick? Quote
qwksndmonster Posted January 10, 2017 Report Posted January 10, 2017 And as bad as Grant is, can he possibly be worse than Moulson 5 on 5? Quote
Brawndo Posted January 10, 2017 Report Posted January 10, 2017 Ullmark gets the call to be the backup tonight Quote
sabills Posted January 10, 2017 Report Posted January 10, 2017 I really like the third line, I just wish we had people other than Carrier and Gionta to fill the other spots on the top two lines... Quote

He is definitely not having the year he had last season. Quote
Doohicksie Posted January 10, 2017 Author Report Posted January 10, 2017 I look at that lineup and see three scoring lines (1A, 1B, 1C, if you will) and a checking line. Looks pretty good to me. I like the balance. At least one of those first lines is gonna have a good night. Quote
WildCard Posted January 10, 2017 Report Posted January 10, 2017 If Grant is on waivers then who takes his spot in the lineup tonight? Tonight will be Jack's 100th game Byslma to apparently treat Reinhart as a double agent tonight: 3rd line center and top 6 winger What does that even mean? Does Gionta get half the shifts then? Quote
sodbuster Posted January 10, 2017 Report Posted January 10, 2017 Nights like tonight are why I only buy Wegmans brand cream cheese. Quote
LTS Posted January 10, 2017 Report Posted January 10, 2017 True, I was looking for speedy wingers to keep up with Jack. Nylander-Eichel-Baptiste next season perhaps? Next season perhaps, but Eichel carrying the puck is likely to either drive the net or he'll pull up wide and hit a trailing winger in which case the slower speed will help out! :) But I see this as a lineup to gain possession and get it to Jack to score. Gio will probably cycle a lot in front of the net (he's pretty good with deflections) and Foligno will work the walls and those two have worked together pretty well lately I think. I'll be watching...can't wait for more hockey. Quote
pi2000 Posted January 10, 2017 Report Posted January 10, 2017 If Grant is on waivers then who takes his spot in the lineup tonight? Didn't think Ennis was coming back yet, but maybe he is. Quote

I think with Ennis on the cusp of returning the Sabres had to make a choice between Grant or Bailey. I think it's obvious Grant has maxed out his NHL potential while Bailey hopefullly can continue to grow. Quote
MattPie Posted January 10, 2017 Report Posted January 10, 2017 McCabe & Laine? ;) As much as I like a good hit, both of those ended up seriously affecting the hittee and dampens my enthusiasm. I hope Laine fairs better than Umberger. Also, I'm surprised McCabe didn't get a 5-minute major for interference on the Laine hit. ;) Quote
WildCard Posted January 10, 2017 Report Posted January 10, 2017 Ya get paid millions of dollars to play a game, you know the risks and rewards, keep your head up and 99/100 times you'll be fine Quote

Doohicksie Posted January 10, 2017 Author Report Posted January 10, 2017 If Grant is on waivers then who takes his spot in the lineup tonight? Bailey and DLo are both playing, making Grant unnecessary. Also, I'm surprised McCabe didn't get a 5-minute major for interference on the Laine hit. ;) Why? He had the puck on his stick. Quote
