qwksndmonster Posted January 7, 2017 Report Posted January 7, 2017 Lehner and Risto both got burned badly by that fake. I didn't see who it was that passed it, but that was a nice play. Quote
Mustache of God Posted January 7, 2017 Report Posted January 7, 2017 He really over committed to thinking Laine was shooting. It was a terrible pass and there was enough to for hime to get over. Quote
qwksndmonster Posted January 7, 2017 Report Posted January 7, 2017 That reach and useless poke by Zemgus was unacceptable. That should be cleared down the ice every time. Quote
GoPre Posted January 7, 2017 Report Posted January 7, 2017 (edited) Winnipeg has 5 shots on goal. Sabres have 0. What a way to start. Edited January 7, 2017 by GoPre Quote
woods-racer Posted January 7, 2017 Report Posted January 7, 2017 (edited) Lehner needs to make that save to give his team confidence so that don't need to be perfect to have a chance to win. Franson was fleet of foot there. Edited January 7, 2017 by Woods-Racer Quote
Claude Balls Posted January 7, 2017 Report Posted January 7, 2017 The Key sounds like a library, all I can hear is the players Quote

qwksndmonster Posted January 7, 2017 Report Posted January 7, 2017 Boring stuff. Par for the course. Quote
Claude Balls Posted January 7, 2017 Report Posted January 7, 2017 I don't get it, the Sabres look like a totally different team when Nilsson is in net. Do they hate Lehner or something? Quote
Tondas Posted January 7, 2017 Report Posted January 7, 2017 Risto had a head of steam going and dumped it in. I'd like to see him try to create something, even if individually. Quote
woods-racer Posted January 7, 2017 Report Posted January 7, 2017 Boring stuff. Par for the course. Its an afternoon game, none of us are drinking . Quote
Ducky Posted January 7, 2017 Report Posted January 7, 2017 (edited) Ehlers Scheif and Laine have around 110 points combined. Edited January 7, 2017 by Ducky Quote
woods-racer Posted January 7, 2017 Report Posted January 7, 2017 That was a bad call on the icing. He had the line. Quote

bunomatic Posted January 7, 2017 Report Posted January 7, 2017 sure would be nice to see some action down at the other end Dan Quote
woods-racer Posted January 7, 2017 Report Posted January 7, 2017 (edited) They have no transition game out of their own zone except a stretch pass, and if it's not there they are bad. Edited January 7, 2017 by Woods-Racer Quote
Robviously Posted January 7, 2017 Report Posted January 7, 2017 The Key sounds like a library, all I can hear is the players It almost always does, and has for years. I used to think it was because the team sucked but I noticed people can't even muster the energy to make noise when they're announcing the starting line-up (with players that we generally like). Like, we can't even get excited for the start of games anymore? I think Buffalo just treats its sports WAY too seriously -- both because the city is downtrodden and because all the losing amplifies things. The atmosphere at a Stars game in Dallas is incredible by comparison; not because people there love hockey more, but because they're just there to have a fun night. It's not life or death if the team wins. Quote
Tondas Posted January 7, 2017 Report Posted January 7, 2017 The Sabres need to play pissed off. They seem so passive. Quote
