CallawaySabres Posted December 31, 2016 Report Posted December 31, 2016 You will hear first rumblings of Bylsma firing...if the action isn't taken immediately Book it Quote
bob_sauve28 Posted December 31, 2016 Report Posted December 31, 2016 I'd consider the firing on DB is a non event. You have to have the players to win, we don't Quote
Jacque Richard Posted December 31, 2016 Report Posted December 31, 2016 We have the players! Not every team is stacked Quote
CallawaySabres Posted December 31, 2016 Author Report Posted December 31, 2016 Now that the season is over, I'll just wait for the news... Quote
Jacque Richard Posted December 31, 2016 Report Posted December 31, 2016 Gotta do something right murray Quote
Jacque Richard Posted December 31, 2016 Report Posted December 31, 2016 Sabres have checked out on their coach. Quote
Sabres Fan in NS Posted December 31, 2016 Report Posted December 31, 2016 Sabres have checked out on their coach. It's like they want him fired already. Quote
inkman Posted December 31, 2016 Report Posted December 31, 2016 Whether or not GMTM believes in Disco Dan, he needs to give him the pipe to salvage the season. There are very valid reasons why the Sabres aren't good but the only recourse I can see having an immediate impact is unloading Dreary Dan. Quote
R_Dudley Posted December 31, 2016 Report Posted December 31, 2016 I see the Bills rumors the owners talk too players about the coaching. So if true there why not with the hockey team too. Wonder what players they would ask and more importantly what they would say? Interesting times indeed, new year coming please show us something new. Quote
dudacek Posted December 31, 2016 Report Posted December 31, 2016 (edited) I don't need Carp's charts to know this season is done. You don't gain 10 points and leapfrog eight teams in 45 games. We needed to go on strong run to finish December to have any hope. We did the opposite. The rest of the season should be dedicated to: * developing McCabe, Risto, Sam and Jack * shopping Gionta, Moulson, Franson, Gorges, Nilsson and Kulikov for whatever we can get. * doing whatever we can to rehabilitate the careers of Ennis, Girgensons and Bogosian * preparing Ullmark, Bailey, Carrier, Fasching, Baptiste and Nylander for the NHL * convincing Kane, O'Reilly and Okposo that the above is what is best for a better future. * adjusting our system to something that gives the above players a better chance to succeed. If Dan can't do those things, then he should not be the coach. Edited December 31, 2016 by dudacek Quote
GoPre Posted December 31, 2016 Report Posted December 31, 2016 (edited) Mike HarringtonVerified account@ByMHarrington Eichel exploded in room, pounding equipment, screaming, storming out without speaking. Good to see. Said more than any quote could. #Sabres Aside from what Harrington had to say, I read Eichel did say something about the Sabres not signing a certain player. I believe it was Lee Stempniak. Edited December 31, 2016 by GoPre Quote

SabresBillsFan Posted January 1, 2017 Report Posted January 1, 2017 I haven't watched many games this season but what I have watched is disappointing. Not a fan of Disco Dan and players just don't seem to playing up to their potential. Quote
Jacque Richard Posted January 1, 2017 Report Posted January 1, 2017 Too many guys going thru the motion over there Quote
SabresBillsFan Posted January 1, 2017 Report Posted January 1, 2017 Too many guys going thru the motion over there And the coach is to blame for that Quote
Jacque Richard Posted January 1, 2017 Report Posted January 1, 2017 I know that. Seems like their stuck again Quote
SabresBillsFan Posted January 1, 2017 Report Posted January 1, 2017 We know they are still going thru the rebuild but they are not progressing at all this season and players instead of being better seemed to have regressed. Quote
pi2000 Posted January 1, 2017 Report Posted January 1, 2017 (edited) We know they are still going thru the rebuild but they are not progressing at all this season and players instead of being better seemed to have regressed. There is a losing culture in that lockeroom which has been around for a few seasons. Until they start holding each other accountable, that won't change. It's going to take a group of players to call out their own teammates on the bench, in thr lockerroom, at practice, etc.. whenever the effort level isn't where it needs to be. Currently, they all seem to like each other a little too much. They need to understand they're not here to make friends, they're here to win. At some point they need to put their friendships aside and get pissed off at each other. Edited January 1, 2017 by pi2000 Quote
Jacque Richard Posted January 1, 2017 Report Posted January 1, 2017 They all talk big over there. If you hear the press conference they sound like broken records Quote
Claude Balls Posted January 1, 2017 Report Posted January 1, 2017 Would like to see more of that passion ON the ice. That and I'd like to see more players get pissed off like Jack after playing like schitt night after night. Quote
