Remember how in November 2015 he had "a month to 6 months to live." Well it's been 13+ months and Mr.Rigas looks as good as a 91 year old could be. He been in public pretty frequently. Good for him. Here's a pic of him last week. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C0UmxW_XAAMl4hy.jpg:large

Here's another pic. Is that a Pepsi or Blue light? https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CyjpwV5WEAYu9fC?format=jpg&name=large

Sorry, what did he do again?

Rigas resigned from his position as CEO in May 2002 after being indicted for bank fraud, wire fraud, and securities fraud. His sons Timothy and Michael, as well as James Brown and Michael Mulcahey, were also charged with participation in these crimes. The executives were accused of looting the corporation by concealing $2.3 billion in liabilities from corporate investors and of using corporation funds as their personal funds.[7]

John Rigas was convicted of the charges in summer 2004 and on June 27, 2005, was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison. Adelphia Corporation filed for bankruptcy after it acknowledged that the three Rigases had taken $3.1 billion in loans that were not recorded on the books.

Compassionate release from prison.  The court was told he had 6 months to live. He was originally sentenced to serve at a federal facility in NC but was quietly transfered to a low security facility near his home.  Had 3 years removed from his sentence.  And now he's out even earlier for a compassionate release that now appears to be unnecessary.  Another corporate raider dirt bag that has been catered to by our government.
