Sabres Fan in NS Posted January 6, 2017 Report Posted January 6, 2017 (edited) GO CANADA GO!! I think the CBC Sports app is streaming it. Edited January 6, 2017 by Sabres Fan In NS Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted January 6, 2017 Report Posted January 6, 2017 Legit live stream! Welcome to the 21st century, hockey: https://www.nhl.com/video/live-usa-vs-canada-on-nhln/t-285362346/c-48065703 Quote
Randall Flagg Posted January 6, 2017 Report Posted January 6, 2017 Turned it on just in time to see Chabot get away with blatant holding or something and then score a goal. I see Canada brought the refs from last night. Quote
bunomatic Posted January 6, 2017 Report Posted January 6, 2017 Ya Canada ! A bit of a slewfoot on Colin White by Chabot behind the Canadian net led to that sequence. Quote

I see Canada brought the refs from last night. Yes. Though #17 just did a world class coasting job on the backcheck. I've seen 4 replays and still can't figure out who the bum was for the US who didn't back check a lick. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted January 6, 2017 Report Posted January 6, 2017 Nice defensive play from Fitzgerald! Quote
sodbuster Posted January 6, 2017 Report Posted January 6, 2017 This Interwebz stream is like 55 seconds behind my tv feed. That's gonna bother me when the sabres game starts. Quote

That's what Canada does, they go full LA, don't get called because the game is in Canada, and score on the ensuing rush/pressure the other way, almost always directly created because ofThe illegally generated odd man opportunity. TrueBlueGED Posted January 6, 2017 Report Posted January 6, 2017 This start is less than great. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted January 6, 2017 Report Posted January 6, 2017 Then they coast the momentum wave and roll over people. I'm glad they made the Sabres game an easy decision to watch from the start. No interest in watching a game get dictated like that. Quote
Claude Balls Posted January 6, 2017 Report Posted January 6, 2017 Well, prolly wont have to worry about switching between games. Wake the up USA!!! Quote

Come on Randall do you actually believe what you say ? 2 goals on 3 shots is more than likely why Canada is ahead. Quote
Sabel79 Posted January 6, 2017 Report Posted January 6, 2017 This is just about what I expected. Sadly. The US effort out of the gate has been... suboptimal. Flagrant Canadian cheating aside... (I kid, I kid) Quote
Randall Flagg Posted January 6, 2017 Report Posted January 6, 2017 Come on Randall do you actually believe what you say ? 2 goals on 3 shots is more than likely why Canada is ahead.Yes? Chabot tackled the player off the puck, so Canada gets the puck, no whistle (Chabot even looked over at the ref when he didn't hear one) and scored right away, before tackled dude even gets back, the guy that would have been covering Chabot, and then Canada took the momentum and should roll. They're good enough to not need that help, but they're obviously going to get it, like always, and so the game won't even be interesting. Quote
ubkev Posted January 6, 2017 Report Posted January 6, 2017 I knew we couldn't beat Canada twice. This game was over last night when Sweden decided to suck after the first period. Fcuk I'm depressed. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted January 6, 2017 Report Posted January 6, 2017 At least we didn't draft Strome, eh? Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted January 6, 2017 Report Posted January 6, 2017 At least we didn't draft Strome, eh? Right? That would be true pain. No shame in Jack not being McDavid or even Matthews, but to be stuck with Strome instead of Marner...ouch. Quote

Colin white is the U.S. player and it looked like more of a slewfoot to me but whatever. To suggest that the refs are payed off is beyond stupid but you've been harping about bad officiating this entire tournament have you not ? The U.S. got into the finals somehow. I'd like to think they did it without payolas but you just never know in your reality. Give em time. They'll fight their way back into it. Quote

They're fully aware that it's team Canada in Canada, though. It's not flagrant, but it's enough unintentional help that it affects the game in a way that makes me change the channel when the Sabres come on, is all. Quote
