inkman Posted December 30, 2017 Report Posted December 30, 2017 (edited) So I was at a 1 year old's bday party, and one of the toddler mommies whips out here boob for her baby's chow time. No cover, no warning, just instant boob in my face. I wasn't opposed to this circumstance but I was so shocked it was difficult for me to wrap my head around it. So is this normal and what I should expect in a room full of mommies with babies? Edited December 30, 2017 by Borkman Quote

So is this normal and what I should expect in a room full of mommies with babies? Seems more normal every day. I've been surprised by it twice in the last few months from 30's-ish moms that I wouldn't have expected it from. I'm adjusting. Drops boob. *Adjusts some more* Quote

So is this normal and what I should expect in a room full of mommies with babies? Babies need to eat. Boobs feed babies. Whimsical note: I live not far from a college campus. This past summer, I saw signs up one of the driveways leading to it advertising free bounce houses and a petting zoo. I thought: “My daughter would enjoy this” and took her up there on a fine Saturday afternoon. We did the petting zoo, went to the bounce house, then started to tour the vendors... at this point I started to register the wierd looks that I, man by myself with a child, was receiving at this thing. The vendors were all maternity gear, clothes for the recently having whelped and so on. Evidently it was a festival meant to celebrate breastfeeding. There was a large lawn area where this was going on. Moms were encouraged to raise placards upon latching. This was being kept track of onstage. Being one of the two guys there, and having no female escort beyond my 6 year old, we went to the cupcake truck and I bought my way out of there... Quote
Wyldnwoody44 Posted December 31, 2017 Report Posted December 31, 2017 Apparently, at a couple local colleges, I had a student of mine today tell me that the term "freshman" is now considered sexist.... The appropriate term is now "1st year" Things are getting outta control. Quote

Spent the week icing it, watching Late Night with David Letterperson. Someone will get this...I hope. Quote

Wyldnwoody44 Posted January 1, 2018 Report Posted January 1, 2018 Our president seems determined to turn the clock back 50 years Well that will never happen. I made it through 2017 with almost zero exposure to modern politics, that's a victory Quote

When my browser opens a thread, after about 10 seconds that blue bar opens into the full twitter post embedded w/iin that particular post. Quote

I'd like to hear about how the clock is being turned back 50 years though but this is a hockey forum. Just as well as under the last guy. The business cycle is fun. Who was the last guy again ? Almost erased ... Quote

Some of the things in society need changing, but when is it too much? Let's take this from a different perspective: why is changing from freshman to first-year a bad thing? Are there any legitimate negative consequences? If not, then why have a "when is it too much" reaction to it? Quote
WildCard Posted January 2, 2018 Report Posted January 2, 2018 While it would be fun to start off the new year with my first ban, I'm gonna bow outta this one. He's not gonna make it through the year anyways, so whatever Quote

Stoner Posted January 2, 2018 Author Report Posted January 2, 2018 I think you're setting yourself up for disappointment. Right. It will have to happen in 2019. I'm not sure what will stop impeachment. Conviction will be tougher I would imagine. Quote
josie Posted January 2, 2018 Report Posted January 2, 2018 (edited) PSA. If you like an artist's work and they offer prints, especially cheap ones, just buy a f*ckin print instead of printing it out yourself. Like, I'm glad you like it, and maybe your print out on sh!tty computer paper will earn me "exposure" (yeah right) but this is my business. And I'm pretty poor. Support your local artists/businesses. It's not the end of the world, but every little sale really makes it so I can eat something besides cereal. Hell, if you're dead set on just printing it out, venmo me like... 5 or 10 bucks. I dunno. Argh. Edited January 2, 2018 by ABBA_älskare_69 Quote
