The even randomer thread

So that CEL cost me $1000, plus another $900 for some maintenance I've been meaning to get done.  Eh, I'd rather have the car tell me it's not feeling quite right than leaving me stranded on the side of the road.

I cannot believe people are standing in insanely long lines to vote early in WNY. Some said it took 2 to 3 hours. Video shows people lined up for blocks. 

WHY ?  Are they handing out free cheese and wine ? 

I will be in and out of my polling place in 5 minutes on election day.

Has anyone else noticed lately that the star icon doesn't always show up next to threads that you've already posted in?  You know what I mean, that button you can push to go to the first unread post?

I changed my profile to go to the first unread post just by tapping the thread title. Someone pointed that out a while ago and it was life changing. Well, maybe not life-changing, but still pretty cool.

I just like looking for the star because it’s an indicator that it’s a thread I’ve posted in. Now I’m not seeing anything that does that.

Why is it that election season gives them a free pass to constantly harass people with texts and phone calls? I got 8 calls today from random numbers and I’m sure they were all related to that.

I’d love to know. I want to say that it’s the state I live in,  but my wife has been getting the texts but none of the calls. So I’m on a different list. In my book it’s very clearly harassment.

I have had the same cell phone number for 20 years, so I’m guessing I put my phone number on whatever form I filled out when I moved back to ROC & registered to vote.  Just guessing.  But I hate it.

There was legit zero chance a 58 year old man was beating a 27 year old in boxing, even if he was once the greatest. Kinda sad to see iron Mike snap his welds last night.
