shrader Posted October 22, 2018 Report Posted October 22, 2018 Almost run off the road two separate times by morons who decided to just take my lane while they were directly next to me. Than an extra hour on the commute probably due an accident probably caused by one of those two people. That's always a great way to start a day where you're waiting on some important news. Quote

I flew in there from Rochester and was super glad I watched a video on how to get through that airport internationally.... went ok. Bit confusing but manageable. Then, coming back from Vancouver... worst. Nightmare. I have EVER had in an airport, and I've been lucky enough to do a fair amount of international travel. From getting cursed at/told to f*ck off when asking for directions and physically grabbed and shoved for no reason by airport employees to being given wrong information multiple times, waiting through hour long lines twice.... and it was 6am on a non-busy day. Screw that airport. Flying into it, anyways. I hope they've revamped that section since 2015. But Vancouver airport is very nice. Quick, clean, relatively small, lovely view ? Yes. Driving to Toronto for long distance flights is the way to do it. Also, Vancouver is by far my favorite Canadian city. The mountains contrasting the Pacific gives you stunning views all around. I need to go back... Quote

Took a few minutes to catch up with the modern world while we wait for the ship to leave port. Unfortunately I'm limited to the coast and the timelines of the ship. Random aside - Project Fi kicks a$$ overseas. Thanks to whoever here first mentioned it years ago! Quote

I stopped to buy some food earlier and threw in one ticket. It's too bad there isn't some leeway in the policy because obviously that's not the kind of purchase for someone who plans on buying a ton of tickets with no intention of ever paying off the credit bill. Probably the policy of most states and not the credit card company. Yes, it sux for most of us who play very occasionally and want to throw a couple of bucks at a huge jackpot when already at the store on other business. Quote

If you're a good enough loser most joints will even return any cash advance fees that your credit card company applies. Quote
Eleven Posted October 24, 2018 Report Posted October 24, 2018 So I just put out a fire in my house. That was fun. No damage except for maybe some smoke damage (I'll check in the morning) and aroma damage (that's what Lysol is for). Quote
