Eleven Posted December 8, 2016 Report Posted December 8, 2016 Per WGR: Kulikov. Expected. Deslauriers. Not expected. Gorges. Surprise! Quote
woods-racer Posted December 8, 2016 Report Posted December 8, 2016 My first thought when I read the list ... Grant out Des in Upgrade __________________ Guhle out Kulikov in wash __________________ ????? out Gorges in downgrade. Quote
Two or less Posted December 8, 2016 Report Posted December 8, 2016 Im not saying Carrier has lit the world on fire bc he hasn't, but his overall play (winning pucks along the boards, backcheck, net presence) has been very beneficial to the team. Would be a shame for Carrier to lose his spot to Nic D right now IMO. Quote

Grant out Des in Upgrade __________________ Guhle out Kulikov in wash __________________ ????? out Gorges in downgrade. Guhle and Kuli may rhyme, but they're not a wash, not just yet. Falk will come out for Gorges and that is not a downgrade at all. Quote
Two or less Posted December 8, 2016 Report Posted December 8, 2016 @ Woods-racer - I doubt they're taking Grant out of the lineup. He's been a okay 4th liner and one of the teams better penalty killers. Quote

WildCard Posted December 8, 2016 Report Posted December 8, 2016 Excellent way to start the thread, Eleven  Gorges and Kulikov coming back would be huge. As long as that's our 2nd pair and Falk/Fedun and Franson stays our 3rd Or, do we ditch Franson and keep the young guys? Likely not but I'm curious if anyone thinks we should Quote
woods-racer Posted December 8, 2016 Report Posted December 8, 2016 Guhle and Kuli may rhyme, but they're not a wash, not just yet. Falk will come out for Gorges and that is not a downgrade at all. You think it will be Faulk? Interesting. Quote
Eleven Posted December 8, 2016 Author Report Posted December 8, 2016 You think it will be Faulk? Interesting. If the Sabres had Justin Faulk, no. But they have Justin Falk, and yeah, I think between him and Fedun, he's the one who comes out. Quote
WildCard Posted December 8, 2016 Report Posted December 8, 2016 I believe Fedun is on the pp, and Falk is not, correct? No doubt Fedun comes off when Kulikov comes back, but Fedun at least has offensive merit to him All 3 possible to play tomorrow. Gorges may be the most likey as DD says his is just a pain tolerance issue Quote
LTS Posted December 8, 2016 Report Posted December 8, 2016 @ Woods-racer - I doubt they're taking Grant out of the lineup. He's been a okay 4th liner and one of the teams better penalty killers. For a team that's near the bottom on the PK I'm not sure being one of the better ones is the answer. He's really of little value to the team and I'm noticing Grant being less effective than he was early on. Quote
Samson's Flow Posted December 8, 2016 Report Posted December 8, 2016 Guhle and Kuli may rhyme, but they're not a wash, not just yet. Falk will come out for Gorges and that is not a downgrade at all. I agree that these are the guys coming out. Guhle has to because he was an emergency call up (IIRC), and I think Falk is the other low man. Either way, just having Kulikov back will be a huge help since Risto/McCabe don't need to eat up 30 min a game. Quote
Taro T Posted December 8, 2016 Report Posted December 8, 2016 Guhle and Kuli may rhyme, but they're not a wash, not just yet. Falk will come out for Gorges and that is not a downgrade at all. Falk will be out when Bogosian &/or Fedun is back. Bergdorfer (sp?) will likely be out before Falk, just because Falk was brought up 1st. Will be good to see what a healthy-ish D can do now that Eichel is back (even though he isn't 100%). & if D-lo is dressed, hope it's Grant that's out & not Carrier. Quote
Doohicksie Posted December 8, 2016 Report Posted December 8, 2016 (edited) Also don't forget that Fedun himself is injured at the moment. So it points to both Guhle, Burgdoerfer and/or Falk leaving. Do we have any healthy scratches? Doesn't a team usually keep an extra forward and and extra D? If the three named people return, perhaps one of Falk or Burgdoerfer, and one of either Grant or Carrier, spend time as healthy scratches. Or maybe they just run lean and send them down to get more experience in the A. Edited December 8, 2016 by Doohickie Quote

I had forgotten that. So Burgdoerfer is probably the one leaving town. Quote

TrueBlueGED Posted December 8, 2016 Report Posted December 8, 2016 I eagerly await Deslauriers' return to the top-6 for a shift as a reward for hitting somebody the previous shift. Quote

Doohicksie Posted December 8, 2016 Report Posted December 8, 2016 (edited) I believe if we do a) he would have to clear waivers, and b) most of his salary would remain on our cap. Edited December 8, 2016 by Doohickie Quote
WildCard Posted December 8, 2016 Report Posted December 8, 2016 If he doesn't clear waivers I'm okay with that. I'd trade a 5th for him tomorrow Quote

qwksndmonster Posted December 8, 2016 Report Posted December 8, 2016 Bwahahaha. Excellent gifs. But if you really think Gorges isn't a huge upgrade over Burgerdoer and Falk, then your hatred of slow players is blinding you. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted December 8, 2016 Report Posted December 8, 2016 Nice one Pi...though I'd reverse the Gorges and Des gifs. Quote
JJFIVEOH Posted December 8, 2016 Report Posted December 8, 2016 I'll take Des and Gorges over any of their replacements, any day. Carrier has a place on this team............ just not right now. Quote
