Im not saying Carrier has lit the world on fire bc he hasn't, but his overall play (winning pucks along the boards, backcheck, net presence) has been very beneficial to the team. Would be a shame for Carrier to lose his spot to Nic D right now IMO.

@ Woods-racer - I doubt they're taking Grant out of the lineup. He's been a okay 4th liner and one of the teams better penalty killers.

Grant had a send down game against the Oilers. He was very bad, especially on the PK.

Gorges and Kulikov coming back would be huge. As long as that's our 2nd pair and Falk/Fedun and Franson stays our 3rd

 

Or, do we ditch Franson and keep the young guys? Likely not but I'm curious if anyone thinks we should

If the Sabres had Justin Faulk, no.  But they have Justin Falk, and yeah, I think between him and Fedun, he's the one who comes out.

I believe Fedun is on the pp, and Falk is not, correct? No doubt Fedun comes off when Kulikov comes back, but Fedun at least has offensive merit to him

 

All 3 possible to play tomorrow. Gorges may be the most likey as DD says his is just a pain tolerance issue

For a team that's near the bottom on the PK I'm not sure being one of the better ones is the answer.  He's really of little value to the team and I'm noticing Grant being less effective than he was early on.

I agree that these are the guys coming out. Guhle has to because he was an emergency call up (IIRC), and I think Falk is the other low man. 

 

Either way, just having Kulikov back will be a huge help since Risto/McCabe don't need to eat up 30 min a game.

Falk will be out when Bogosian &/or Fedun is back. Bergdorfer (sp?) will likely be out before Falk, just because Falk was brought up 1st.

 

Will be good to see what a healthy-ish D can do now that Eichel is back (even though he isn't 100%).

 

& if D-lo is dressed, hope it's Grant that's out & not Carrier.

Do we have any healthy scratches?  Doesn't a team usually keep an extra forward and and extra D?  If the three named people return, perhaps one of Falk or Burgdoerfer, and one of either Grant or Carrier, spend time as healthy scratches.  Or maybe they just run lean and send them down to get more experience in the A.

I'll take Des and Gorges over any of their replacements, any day. Carrier has a place on this team............ just not right now.
