Franson has been playing better than last year, can't really say I notice him doing a lot of bad things except being a human pilon sometimes.

It's the NHL, so those power plays are going to even up at some point. Coming out of them still up a goal is a very nice thing.

That last ~6 minutes of the 1st period was less than inspiring - Sabres couldn't get it out of the zone to start, then Kane with a stupid pointless slashing penalty to put Washington on the PP - then after the PP ends, they still can't get it out of the zone, so another pointless slashing penalty by Carrier, who must have been taking notes from Kane - smh
