bob_sauve28 Posted December 3, 2016 Report Posted December 3, 2016 He looked ok out there. Really fast, played resenably physical. He reminds me f a big Sekera Quote
Norcal Posted December 4, 2016 Report Posted December 4, 2016 (edited) I thought he played well, made a couple really smooth plays He can shoot too, made Rask make some tough saves The play on Krejci was awesome! Edited December 4, 2016 by Murray's Rats Quote
nfreeman Posted December 4, 2016 Report Posted December 4, 2016 I agree with the above 2 posts. I thought he looked pretty good -- smooth, good decisions, very good skater. Top-4 potential. Quote
pi2000 Posted December 4, 2016 Report Posted December 4, 2016 He was good for a 12 year old, needs another couple years of seasoning. Quote
GASabresIUFAN Posted December 4, 2016 Report Posted December 4, 2016 He was good for a 12 year old, needs another couple years of seasoning.` This first game was very good considering, but lets not jump the gun here. I am for giving him another 8 games and seeing some more. I think he earned that yesterday. Quote
Eleven Posted December 4, 2016 Report Posted December 4, 2016 I agree with the above 2 posts. I thought he looked pretty good -- smooth, good decisions, very good skater. Top-4 potential. 2 glaring errors: (1) he got tied up with Lehner in the first period. They were both out of commission for about 4-5 seconds; (2) he turned over a puck in the third. And then that beautiful defensive play, also in the third. All in all, not a bad debut. Quote
Huckleberry Posted December 4, 2016 Report Posted December 4, 2016 He didn't look out of place, that was all our biggest worry. Quote
LGR4GM Posted December 4, 2016 Report Posted December 4, 2016 Good to see Guhle was okay. Should be interesting when he reaches camp in the Fall. Hope he works hard back in juniors. Quote
pi2000 Posted December 4, 2016 Report Posted December 4, 2016 He reminds me of Zadorov. He reminds me a lot of Fowler when he came into the league as a fast skating skinny kid. Quote
qwksndmonster Posted December 4, 2016 Report Posted December 4, 2016 He reminds me a lot of Fowler when he came into the league as a fast skating skinny kid.Yes please. Quote
dudacek Posted December 4, 2016 Report Posted December 4, 2016 He reminds me a lot of Fowler when he came into the league as a fast skating skinny kid. Except he's apparently not skinny anymore. I read he bulked up a lot since we picked him. That baby face is deceiving. I also see why Murray likes him - kid is an NHL skater already. Difference between him and Nelson was striking. They are both pretty skaters, but in one game Guhle showed a better grasp of NHL speed and power. Not exactly the same player, but he may have the skill set to mature into a McKee or Lydman type role. Quote
Huckleberry Posted December 4, 2016 Report Posted December 4, 2016 I think this is a steal, saw a 2015 re-draft and they already had him at #23 last year. Quote
LGR4GM Posted December 4, 2016 Report Posted December 4, 2016 Slow down everyone. Let's see what he looks like next year and how he adapts. Once teams know how to play against that could change things. We've seen countless defenders look good in short spurts. Myers, Nelson, MAG. Let's not build him into anything yet. Quote
GASabresIUFAN Posted December 4, 2016 Report Posted December 4, 2016 We have been begging for some more speed in the lineup. Quote

Once teams know how to play against that could change things. We've seen countless defenders look good in short spurts. Myers, Nelson, MAG. Let's not build him into anything yet. Agreed. But we need something to talk about. He still looks skinny to me, anybody know what he weighed in at camp? I really hope he goes back to junior (he's on a top team now) but if he continues to play well, we may not have a choice. Quote
Huckleberry Posted December 5, 2016 Report Posted December 5, 2016 anyways seems he will be staying up a while. Quote

Besides, Murray should send him back and save a contact year. Quote
North Buffalo Posted December 5, 2016 Report Posted December 5, 2016 I think he has to go back? Emergency recall and all. Besides, Murray should send him back and save a contact year. At this rate, not a chance he is going back down. Quote
inkman Posted December 5, 2016 Report Posted December 5, 2016 At this rate, not a chance he is going back down. He's definitely going back Quote
LTS Posted December 5, 2016 Report Posted December 5, 2016 He's definitely going back Agreed. Use his 9 games as they can... and then if nothing improves, call up a F and have them skate D. No way you burn a year if the team is suffering massive injuries.. Quote

Doohicksie Posted December 5, 2016 Report Posted December 5, 2016 End season. Really? I hadn't heard that. Or if I did, I forgot... Quote
