darksabre Posted December 2, 2016 Report Posted December 2, 2016 I severely, SEVERELY, underestimated Jack's impact on this team. I knew he was good, maybe even great, but I didn't picture the whole team reacting like this to his return. This is a different team than it was a week ago. Crazy. His impact seems so substantial that I almost don't know if I believe it. It doesn't seem possible that one player could matter this much. Quote

WildCard Posted December 2, 2016 Report Posted December 2, 2016 By the way, there was no Alamo mode tonight. We put the pressure on when we went up like we were down a goal still. And it worked Quote

It doesn't seem possible that one player could matter this much. That's why they tanked. He is that good. Whether Bylsma's chicken- stuff in his absence was the right move? Well, that'll be in another thread. But Eichel is that good. Quote
Doohicksie Posted December 2, 2016 Author Report Posted December 2, 2016 My wife hates me right now because I'm speaking in ALL CAPS. :w00t: By the way, there was no Alamo mode tonight. WildCard Posted December 2, 2016 Report Posted December 2, 2016 This is absolutely incredible https://twitter.com/IneffectiveMath/status/804515319121412096 Good to see the stats back up the eye test. I felt like we dominated that game. The refs tried to give it to the Rags, but the better team won Quote

Well, that'll be in another thread. But Eichel is that good. I'll be the first to admit it, he's coached very well the last two games. Idk where that was last season when we had a healthy roster, and I still don't agree with his coaching early on this season, but I will take this Byslma. Whether it sticks or not is another thing Quote
Doohicksie Posted December 2, 2016 Author Report Posted December 2, 2016 Good to see the stats back up the eye test. I felt like we dominated that game. I thought the Sabres played rope-a-dope for most of the first period. They didn't even look like they belonged in the same league as the Rangers. They got better. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted December 2, 2016 Report Posted December 2, 2016 I have no idea what that means, but all the Sabres are on the GOOD side of the DULL-FUN line. It means we curb stomped them at even strength. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted December 2, 2016 Report Posted December 2, 2016 This is absolutely incredible https://twitter.com/IneffectiveMath/status/804515319121412096 The first comment with the zoomed-in picture is soooooooooo gooooooooood This kid just makes moments. Wow. Double wow. The Sabres just beat the best team in the east (not the best goalie in the east) and handled them very well at even strength. This may be a good hockey team. Quote
3putt Posted December 2, 2016 Report Posted December 2, 2016 King Henry with 30 saves and still loses. That is taking it to them. Quote
Iron Crotch Posted December 2, 2016 Report Posted December 2, 2016 Saw this on twitter: "Jack Eichel gonna beat the Raiders on Sunday" :D Quote

hockeyhound Posted December 2, 2016 Report Posted December 2, 2016 VICTORY! Missed the game; however, caught the last 5 minutes, and wow keep it going. Quote
Samson's Flow Posted December 2, 2016 Report Posted December 2, 2016 This is absolutely incredible https://twitter.com/IneffectiveMath/status/804515319121412096 That's great. Plus it shows that Disco Dan certainly sticks with his forward pairs - ROR and Okposo, Jack and Samson, Larsson and Foligno Quote

WildCard Posted December 2, 2016 Report Posted December 2, 2016 (edited) Fedun is very good offensively. Fedun is very dangerous defensively. His clearing passes were routinely picked off tonight Edited December 2, 2016 by WildCard Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted December 2, 2016 Report Posted December 2, 2016 Shots attempted Sabres: 71 Rangers: 48 Not to take away from the Sabres, but I honestly think the Rangers are due to come back to Earth a little bit here. They're 25th in the league in score-adjusted CF% at 47.18, but have a league-best team SH% of 11.6%, a full 2 percentage points higher than 2nd place. Quote
