Scottysabres Posted February 27, 2017 Report Posted February 27, 2017 BUMP Did you catch the Travis Yost tweet? Says this should put the Bylsma firing in motion.
Brawndo Posted February 27, 2017 Report Posted February 27, 2017 Did you catch the Travis Yost tweet? Says this should put the Bylsma firing in motion. He probably survives the rest of the season
TrueBlueGED Posted February 27, 2017 Report Posted February 27, 2017 BUMP Why, what do you expect with all the injuries they still have? It's just bad luck! (Strong, strong sarcasm)
Drunkard Posted February 27, 2017 Report Posted February 27, 2017 Why, what do you expect with all the injuries they still have? It's just bad luck! (Strong, strong sarcasm) Exactly. We need to see him with a full roster that is completely healthy for all 82 games. If somebody misses even a single game, it automatically buys him another season. Especially with the valiant way he's managed to improve the club despite all these injuries. I mean, we're on pace to improve by a full point over last year! Just make the guy coach for life already. This thread needs to be given the same respect the politics threads were given and just deleted.
WildCard Posted March 1, 2017 Report Posted March 1, 2017 @SabresBuzz 1m1 minute ago Preds D-man have generated 150 points this season. Why? They hired Phil Housley, a creative, offensive defenseman.
Randall Flagg Posted March 1, 2017 Report Posted March 1, 2017 And they have absurdly talented defensemen
WildCard Posted March 1, 2017 Report Posted March 1, 2017 And they have absurdly talented defensemen Chicken / egg?

WildCard Posted March 1, 2017 Report Posted March 1, 2017 Ask potato, he would know the best. He's been advocating Housley for awhile now
Jacque Richard Posted March 1, 2017 Report Posted March 1, 2017 I'd take peter tonsoline from Iroquois as a damn coach right now
StuckinFL Posted March 1, 2017 Report Posted March 1, 2017 I know this is tongue in cheek, but yes. I think Nolan would've had a better record this year with this roster.
Thorner Posted March 1, 2017 Report Posted March 1, 2017 The fact that I'm even seriously considering this is incredibly damning of Bylsma.
nfreeman Posted March 1, 2017 Report Posted March 1, 2017 In all seriousness it's getting harder and harder to see DDB back here next year.
TrueBlueGED Posted March 1, 2017 Report Posted March 1, 2017 Dan Bylsma is a bad NHL coach. Ted Nolan is a bad hockey coach.
North Buffalo Posted March 1, 2017 Report Posted March 1, 2017 Bring in Phil Housley or I still like Dineen...
Radar Posted March 1, 2017 Report Posted March 1, 2017 Dan Bylsma is a bad NHL coach. Ted Nolan is a bad hockey coach. Nailed it.
woods-racer Posted March 1, 2017 Report Posted March 1, 2017 Dan Bylsma is a bad NHL coach. Ted Nolan is a bad hockey coach. I think you have it backwards. Dan is a bad coach. Nolan is a bad NHL coach. I don't believe Dan would have gotten Latvia to play in the Olympics as good as Nolan did.

I don't believe Dan would have gotten Latvia to play in the Olympics as good as Nolan did. I think it's more that Dan Bylsma's system is so woefully out of place in today's NHL, but he actually has decent coaching ability on a base level. He's just in the wrong decade. Nolan is just not a very good coach.
Doohicksie Posted March 1, 2017 Report Posted March 1, 2017 The fact that we're actually comparing and contrasting DD with Nolan kind of proves the point that Dan needs to go.
