Highest scoring offence in the universe vs. lowest or second lowest ? Prepare for a shittstorm of epic proportions. That and the fact that Ovi has Vlademir Poutine on his side. This could get fugly.

An inexplicable win heading our way this evening.

It's completely explicable. Goals routinely go off shins, skates, ankles and butts. Any one game can't be predetermined by some sort of scoring differential or offensive prowess. A series perhaps but this is the NHL, where they stifle offense and promote thuggery.

I believe it's also explicable in that I believe, despite my not having any #stats to back it up, that the road team on the day after Thanksgiving will have an edge. Methinks the home team will be more hungover and fattened up.

My prediction is that Ovi scores more goals on that "surprise" off-wing, one-timer on the power play, than the Sabres score in total.

And one of these has to get their first of the season today.

1.  Risto - Now that he's got a stick that breaks only half the time, he needs to get one.  He almost had a few last game.  DDB needs to give him the green light to go offensive any time he feels.  That's what #1 defensmen do.

2.  Grant - I get the defensive and PK time, but it's getting Leino-esque.  Any player not named Rob Ray needs to score once every 20 games.  For example, Gaustad, Schaller, Cody McCormick.

3.  Kane - Because he's a high priced goal scorer, right?
