Eleven Posted November 5, 2016 Report Posted November 5, 2016 So it occurred to me yesterday that the Sabres have a huge pattern of getting the "wrong" brother of two hockey players. Wrong Foligno. Wrong Niedermayer. Wrong Primeau. Wrong Gretzky. Maybe wrong Seiling. Wrong Maloney. I know I'm missing at least a couple, so please chip in. I do think they have the right Reinhart though! Quote

Taro T Posted November 5, 2016 Report Posted November 5, 2016 Ooh--wrong Patrick. And they had both of them, too. Well, having the one that became a Sabres assistant coach was more a case of being "in the right place at the wrong time" than being in the meh place at the meh time. Quote
beerme1 Posted November 5, 2016 Report Posted November 5, 2016 Wrong Miller. That's not right. 1 Quote
Eleven Posted November 5, 2016 Author Report Posted November 5, 2016 Wrong Miller. Burning hot take. Well, having the one that became a Sabres assistant coach was more a case of being "in the right place at the wrong time" than being in the meh place at the meh time. ?? Wasn't he on the Finals team? Stoner Posted November 5, 2016 Report Posted November 5, 2016 Burning hot take. ?? Wasn't he on the Finals team? Second overtime CHING! Quote
Taro T Posted November 5, 2016 Report Posted November 5, 2016 Burning hot take. ?? Wasn't he on the Finals team? He was and played well for them, but he was a shell of the player that tore it up for the Rags. (Had thought you were implying both were the wrong one based on the post you were referencing.) 1 Quote
DarthEbriate Posted November 5, 2016 Report Posted November 5, 2016 My father has it. I have it. My [brother] has it. And Reinhart and Nylander have it. Quote
Thorner Posted November 5, 2016 Report Posted November 5, 2016 We have the right (and wrong) O'Reilly. 1 Quote
Tondas Posted November 5, 2016 Report Posted November 5, 2016 (edited) Wrong Leino. I'm not sure he has a brother, and even if he does, whether that brother played hockey or not.. Nonetheless, we got the wrong brother. Edited November 5, 2016 by Tondas 1 Quote
Stoner Posted November 5, 2016 Report Posted November 5, 2016 Wrong Leino. I'm sure sure he has a brother or even if he does, whether that brother played hockey. Nonetheless, we got the wrong brother. :w00t: BTW, I encourage everyone to pick up an old VHS copy of this movie. One of the scenes hauntingly presages the wacky crease goal against the Leafs. Quote
Sabres Fan in NS Posted November 5, 2016 Report Posted November 5, 2016 Wrong Hamel. Wrong Gratton. Wrong Rolston. Interesting tidbit of useless information ... the Gretzky's were the highest scoring pair of brothers in the history of the NHL. Our Gretzky contributed 4 of those points. :w00t: Quote

darksabre Posted November 5, 2016 Report Posted November 5, 2016 Wrong Foligno. Also, both Nylander's are going to be really good. Quote

darksabre Posted November 5, 2016 Report Posted November 5, 2016 So wrong, it needed to be mentioned twice. For some reason when I opened this thread it went straight to NS's post. I thought he started the thread  Quote

Now our former coach never played in the NHL, so I took a some artistic liberties there. And not Chris the other Grattons ... Norm and Gilles. Quote
Thorner Posted November 5, 2016 Report Posted November 5, 2016 Reinhart has gotta be our obvious chance to most likely finally get the clearly most successful sibling. Quote
GASabresIUFAN Posted November 5, 2016 Report Posted November 5, 2016 (edited) What about the right brothers? Miller, Playfair, Reinhart, Turgeon, Gionta, McKegney, McGinn, Moore (Although Dom sucked here), Regehr, Paiement (Wolf was pretty good in his one season in Buffalo -20 goals) and Stanfield were/are better then their siblings. We drafted the better Miller, Playfair, Turgeon, and McKegney. Is Chris Stewart better then Anthony? What about Chris Drury vs Ted; I think we had the better Drury also. Does Alex Biega count as a Sabre since we drafted him but never gave him a shot at the NHL? We also had both Moller brothers and both Sauve brothers. We also had the lesser Taylor brother, but he is an all time great Amerk. I forgot, we had the wrong Hodgson brother. Edited November 5, 2016 by GASabresIUFAN Quote
