Norcal Posted October 30, 2016 Report Posted October 30, 2016 Nice win. Good couple in a row. Team D is improving, chemistry lokks to be coming along as well. Quote
sodbuster Posted October 30, 2016 Report Posted October 30, 2016 You win one Internet point. (100 Internet points are worth one Schrute Buck.) Great reference. I award you a million Stanley Nickels. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted October 30, 2016 Report Posted October 30, 2016 Did we win three in a row at any point last year? Quote
Huckleberry Posted October 30, 2016 Report Posted October 30, 2016 Fine, you twerp. I'll buy you a drink. can't find a bar to make a decent negroni over here :( Quote

Huckleberry Posted October 30, 2016 Report Posted October 30, 2016 nice went on a weekend long binge to find the sabres won both I'm so happy :D Also saw an excellent pink floyd cover band, Britt Floyd, wouldn't even call them a cover band jesus they are good :D Quote
3putt Posted October 31, 2016 Report Posted October 31, 2016 Solid effort. Okposo is a good fit on that line and never seems to make a bad play out of panic. Zemgus may have had his best game of the year but his last 2 were both good. He isn't getting on the board, but he is possessing the puck and and driving play. I like Baptiste, but I also like Fasching. Dlo is history as far as I'm concerned. McCabe Kulio and Risto had very good games. The other D were adequate. Defense was not an issue today. Foligno would be on the block if I were looking to trade. Too many mental lapses to go with no mitts. Lehner looked much better today with rebounds. Hopefully he continues to improve in that area. Samson was quiet offensively but he was Johnny on the spot defensively particularly in our zone. Nice win. Quote
Stoner Posted October 31, 2016 Report Posted October 31, 2016 Be careful reaching back blindly for your wallet! This could go either way. Nate Silver says... Quote
Randall Flagg Posted October 31, 2016 Report Posted October 31, 2016 Robin Lehner's grandmother is the top comment on the Sabres facebook page's post about the game. Pretty funny. Quote
Doohicksie Posted October 31, 2016 Author Report Posted October 31, 2016 (edited) Where was Stafford? Upper Body Injury. He's already been ruled out for their next game, too, which will make 4 games he's missed. Tyler Myers has a Lower Body Injury. At least the guys we got in that trade are healthy enough to....... Did Reinhart play? He was invisible for the most part. You guys don't get it, do you? He's best when you don't see him. Ennis and Girgs are meshing. Samson was out there doing his part, but his part is definitely not flashy. He played a good, responsible game. Edited October 31, 2016 by High Ankle Sprain Quote

It will come with time. Quote
Eleven Posted October 31, 2016 Report Posted October 31, 2016 can't find a bar to make a decent negroni over here :( Really? It's just gin, Capmari, vermouth. I need to get to Belgie to explain this, maybe? Quote

CallawaySabres Posted October 31, 2016 Report Posted October 31, 2016 Really hope this is a turning point for these guys. Back to 500 is where they needed to be... Quote
beerme1 Posted October 31, 2016 Report Posted October 31, 2016 Really hope this is a turning point for these guys. Back to 500 is where they needed to be... I think it will be. I think they are done feeling sorry for themselves and the shock of losing Eichel and then Kane has sunk in. We still have talent and they are now realizing that we can and should win games even without them and even with a backup goalie. Quote
nucci Posted October 31, 2016 Report Posted October 31, 2016 Do we still want the coach fired or are we good for another week? Quote

Randall Flagg Posted October 31, 2016 Report Posted October 31, 2016 Do we still want the coach fired or are we good for another week?I give Dan (or his assistants, or Murray for yelling at him) credit for making possession adjustments. I'm skeptical that it stays this way, but we'll see. Maybe he did turn into a new coach for the first time in his career. Quote

That Aud Smell Posted October 31, 2016 Report Posted October 31, 2016 I saw probably 60% of the two games this weekend -- and the team looked, like -- the same in a lot of ways -- but somehow just a lot better in doing what they're doing. I keep thinking about what Blysma said in this piece from 24/7: Quote
