Randall Flagg Posted October 28, 2016 Report Posted October 28, 2016 Boudreau is better than Lindy.Roy would be in the Ted Nolan tier. Quote
LGR4GM Posted October 28, 2016 Report Posted October 28, 2016 (edited) I wouldn't hire Roy if Pegula gave me all his money. that Edited October 28, 2016 by LGR4GM Quote
hockeyhound Posted October 28, 2016 Report Posted October 28, 2016 (edited) I'd rather see the youngsters go back to the Amerks and possibly make the playoffs than stay on a tank team and have the life sucked out of them thinking its their fault. Edited October 28, 2016 by hockeyhound Quote
LGR4GM Posted October 28, 2016 Report Posted October 28, 2016 There's a better coach out there. GMTM needs to locate him. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted October 28, 2016 Report Posted October 28, 2016 I wouldn't hire Roy if Pegula gave me all his money. ###### that ...everybody has a price. Sorry ladies n gents, but if I were in a position to hire Roy for all of Pegula's money, you'd be stuck with him for a few years  Quote
7+6=13 Posted October 28, 2016 Report Posted October 28, 2016 The reason Bylsma was finally fired in Pitt. was the team wasn't as good as they should have been. It wasn't tolerated there. Seems like a similar story here. My hope was he could get us to a point and we'd find out if he could succeed past that. He's proving to not be the type of coach to progress this team. Quote
ct fab Posted October 28, 2016 Report Posted October 28, 2016 O'Reilly is pressing and turning over the puck way too much Quote
Tondas Posted October 28, 2016 Report Posted October 28, 2016 We are the anti-Gestalt team. Our whole is less than the sum of our parts. Quote
DarthEbriate Posted October 28, 2016 Report Posted October 28, 2016 Hmmm. Fighting is still allowed, right? Back in the 2nd, right after it became 3-0.. you've got to do something to spark the team. MIN would be reluctant to do a staged fight, but maybe get a little reckless, start hacking away... at least try something. This is listless. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted October 28, 2016 Report Posted October 28, 2016 Banner offensive play there by Gorges to give everyone else on the ice a Corsi against. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted October 28, 2016 Report Posted October 28, 2016 Good thing Risto was there, because Gorges got real turned around.Risto is where I want him to be now. He'll get better from here. Quote
hockeyhound Posted October 28, 2016 Report Posted October 28, 2016 (edited) By the way has Patrick Kaleta retired? Edited October 28, 2016 by hockeyhound Quote
Randall Flagg Posted October 28, 2016 Report Posted October 28, 2016 It would be interesting to see how Lindy, or another activate-the-defensemen coach, would use McCabe, Risto, and Kulikov. These guys show flashes of great offensive ability but almost never use it. Quote
7+6=13 Posted October 28, 2016 Report Posted October 28, 2016 O'Reilly is pressing and turning over the puck way too much O'Reilly is pressing and turning over the puck way too much That's because there's no structure to the offensive game plan. There's no flow to the offense and it's mainly due to IMO how we possess the puck. Quote
DarthEbriate Posted October 28, 2016 Report Posted October 28, 2016 Good thing Risto was there, because Gorges got real turned around. Risto is where I want him to be now. He'll get better from here. Good play by Ristolainen. Calm, tough, efficient. Quote
Eleven Posted October 28, 2016 Report Posted October 28, 2016 I went out for part of the second period because I was hungry and my kitchen didn't have anything useful. (Full meals, sure, snacks, no.) At sports bar. Start of third. Still waiting for food. Friend: Aren't you going to stay for the rest of the game? 11: I have a meeting tomorrow morning. If this team were going to do something, sure, I'd go in shaky. But it's not. So goodnight. This team... Quote
ct fab Posted October 28, 2016 Report Posted October 28, 2016 Love the physicality of Risto - he's playing a bit pissed off. It's about time a Fe veterans get benched, gorges, Bogo, Gionta come to mind and I think the grant experiment hasn't worked. Give the youngsters a chance, this team desperately needs a jolt of speed Quote
hockeyhound Posted October 28, 2016 Report Posted October 28, 2016 By the way has Patrick Kaleta retired? Anybody have the answer? Quote
Nitro60 Posted October 28, 2016 Report Posted October 28, 2016 This game is a big steaming pile of horse dung. Quote
